@NYUFan101 Not true at all. I asked one of the admissions officers (I posted this a few pages back) and he himself said the acceptance rate was 18%, with the GPA around 3.8+, unweighted.

No way it could fall that much.

@jarjarbinks23 Ya that sounds much more realistic.

@NYUFan and @510shopgirl Thanks for the response. I guess it’s better to hear sooner than later but wow, I didn’t expect that soon.

So what’s the verdict on these financial aid messages? Is there actually a correlation between message changes and admittance?

My very first post after all this time following the thread… applying to Stern. SO NERVOUS

@adelawang Welcome!

International anyone?

@adelawang welcome :)!

Does NYU offer residential hall tours?

@NYUFan101 As far as I know, residential hall tours were only offered at the fall open houses in September/October. I toured in August as part of an information session and didn’t get to see residential halls, but I know some people who went to an open house day and got to see dorms.

I still haven’t had the FA change yet. At this point, I don’t think that I got in. My SAT scores were pretty low, but I had a 3.96 GPA, and I got a 5 on the US History AP Exam, and other really good stats, and my essay was okay, I think. NYU is my dream school, too. UGH. I wish that they’d just put us out of our misery, and tell us already!!

@jarjarbinks23 i would think that acceptance rate for ED would be higher. Maybe low 20s?

Does everyone have a University ID? If you go to NYUHome and select Preferences at the top menu, it will take you to a profile screen. Under the “?” it says University ID’s are only given to students. I have one and I have the FA change with 2016. Just curious.

I just checked and I also have a University ID. Think it means anything?

Very interesting hmmm @brazos21

I’ve got the ID as well.

@brazos21 I don’t think it should mean anything. I think everyone got a University ID with the “NYU Application Acknowledgment” email.

I don’t think the ID means anything. If you check the application acknowledgment email you received following the completion of your app, you’ll see that each student is assigned a University ID upon application to the school.

OK…just picking at straws

I have one as well, but I don’t have an email. Does anyone else have an email?
