NYU Class of 2019 Discussions ED1

I’m from Miami, Florida :sunny:

Why you think you are rejected by NYU? Because of your FA change? Or something else? I am so nervous… @Osmany02‌

less than two hours!

Wait I thought it was the 15??? AHHH

@allegrotechie‌ I think Gabelli might be harder to get into. I know for a fact that the average SAT and GPA for people accepted into Gabelli is higher than the average for Fordham in general. I don’t know exact numbers though!

It’s the 15th. They posted it on the admissions blog yesterday (admissionsblog . nyu . edu) and they said it takes all day for them to send out the emails, so people would have heard by now anyways if they were sending them out today.

@NYUFan101‌ I think you should just send both. Its better to be safe than sorry

What is the FA change you guys talking about? I did not check my FA status before because I did not apply any financial aid, and I’m not sure whether it’s changed recently. Right now my FA status is “No self-service access for this aid year.” Did I get a FA change?

What year does it have next to that? @lyylxllight‌

nope…nothing

But is the FA change thing just an assumption? Or do we know for sure??

@fazeeeeeeel‌ 2016… why?

@AlysiaG I love Mexico City. It’s like the best place ever… And I am the first in my family to go to college in the US as well.

Ok. The FA change is when you have a table with 2016 in your FA page. Decisions are coming out the 15th.

Wow I can’t believe it’s so soon!! Are you guys nervous?

@xim0204‌ I got a table with 2016, but we do not have a table with 2015? btw I applied to Stern as my primary choice, and I noticed my major changed into Real Estate program last few days. Does this mean anything? So nervous…

what does it mean to be a first generation student? Cuz my parents went to college in India, then we moved here. Would I be considered a first gen?

also would that have helped on my application to NYU

@vbg123‌ I’m very very nervous… I just want to hibernate all weekend.

@lyylxllight‌ I don’t know why but it’s always a year more than the year of enrollment. The change in your application status could mean a lot of things, but just keep calm! Be optimistic!

@bobcat97‌ I don’t think that qualifies as first generation since your parents did go to college. I’m in the same situation. My parents went to college, but in Mexico. Either way there’s nothing to do now.

I like how every school moved their notification date up except NYU which thought it would be a great idea to push it back. I just wanna know!!
