@xheki05 Global Liberal Studies or Liberal Studies Core Program? If you were accepted into GLS, you can transfer after your first semester.
Is it possible to change your major/school before you enroll?
I’ve originally applied for Steinhardt and I got in; I wish to change my major/school if possible…
@seeniebeenie My acceptance says that the academic program is" Global Liberal Studies Program" and the description is “Core Program.” If I go to NYU I plan on majoring in Chemistry which is why I’d like to transfer over to CAS. Though is it possible to transfer before the academic year begins?
My S was accepted to Tisch School of the Arts to major in Film Production!!! After rejections from USC and Chapman and wait listed at FSU, we are crazy excited for him!!! Just scared of the cost now… Congrats to all who got the news they were hoping for today!
@xheki05 Core is completely different. You can’t transfer until you complete the two year program. Feel free to message me for a more in-depth explanation as I’m a current Core freshman.
@subbbbeen You can’t transfer schools until after your first semester. Changing your major within your school, though, is completely up to you. When your academic advisor contacts you later on in April/May, I’d recommend reaching out to them and asking what to do.
My D was accepted to Tisch and on Albert, it said “theatre.” Music theater was her first choice with acting second. Does te “theatre” mention on Albert mean music theatre or we have to wait for that??? Thank you!
just curious. did your deferral email say anything about stern? because i applied to stern and all it spoke about was NYU in general.
My son was waitlisted to Tisch…any ideas on if he has a chance of actually getting in?
Ok I’m trying to make sure I’m reading this correctly. My FA says FA year 2016-2017 CAS scholarship $50,320 then pell grant $5,765 then work study loans etc. Does this mean I am getting $55,000+ a year in scholarship money that I will not have to pay back? I’m kind of freaking out because if so that is a lot of aid and that’s the only way I’ll be able to attend NYU
@queenellie I think you’re right !
Accepted!!
Accepted! School of engineering
does anyone have financial aid? Mine shows up, but is it the full financial aid, or is need-based aid (Grants or loans from CSS and FAFSA) coming later?
I have a question. I get that this is an Nyu thread but… I want to study international business. Should I attend brown, Georgetown or nyu? Which is best for business
Accepted OOS CAS…on my way to NY…Deposit Paid!!!
@jorjimarie if by NYU you’re talking about Stern, then no doubt NYU. http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/business-international
Accepted to Core LSP but only 9k in grant aid…like bye NYU
Does your FA say grant aid or scholarship? @extrapeppermint
@Abwee67 Oops, I meant to say scholarship! It says Liberal Studies Scholarship on the page.
lmao didn’t get in but got into an ivy and kids from my schools w/ half my qualifications got in??? confused but whatever. debating whether i’ll accept my waitlist position.
