I applied to stern too, @janevyl & @Bluebrry - What did you guys apply to stern for? Also, what did you guys list as the second (alternate) major? (incase you don’t get into stern)
@HSTCA2016 I applied to CAS as well
i did statistic, don’t remember alternate. oh my god, it’s been such a long time
i didn’t put an alternate
Is it like, finance is harder to get into than management so, if someone applies for management, its easier for them to get into stern, or is it the same difficulty for anything you choose to study?
@HSTCA2016 , you may be late but if you want, you can call up NYU and ask them to add in an alternate program of your choice incase you don’t get into your first option. Anyway, you’d probably automatically be placed into LSP if not your first option, they will definitely consider you for it.
@Garyguy909 It’s fine I don’t know why I didn’t put an alternate though
NYU just said on their official Undergraduate Twitter that decisions will be released via email on March 31! The wait is killing me
Anyone apply for Tisch? I’m probably going to get rejected so I had my alternate as LSP, but anyone else in the same position?
i’m in the same position!
@chickia98 which program did you apply for in tisch?
@irburgat my son applied to Tisch film & television and didn’t even list an alternate. I go back and forth all the time…some days I think for sure he’s going to be accepted, others I’m not sure at all. His last two schools release the same day, same time but NYU has always been his top choice.
According to Albert…
“Admissions decisions for Regular Decision candidates will be released via email on March 31 after 5pm. Decisions will not be released over the phone until April 4th. Admission decisions for Spring 2016 transfer students will be e-mailed beginning in mid-November while decisions for Fall 2016 transfer students will be e-mailed beginning in early May.”
@milesj1003 oh did he apply to the ivies as well? I’m waiting on Columbia that day as well.
film & tv. what about you?
And i’m applying for film and television as well! I hope I get in, but I’m not sure as I’ve been either rejected or waitlisted by most of the other film and television schools I’ve applied too…
@irburgat Yes, he applied to University of Penn.
He was accepted to Emerson which for a while was tied for top choice with NYU. But we visited Temple University for an accepted-students day and we were really impressed with their film program. Plus we are in-state and they gave him a scholarship so it’s looking more and more likely that Temple is a real option especially if NYU doesn’t pan out.
@irburgat have you gotten into any film programs so far?
GUYS!!! My housing changed from “non-renewable undergrad” to “freshman” and I just got off the phone with my regional NYU admission officer. She said the decisions are coming out today at 5pm!
Mine hasn’t changed yet…
