Speaking from personal experience, I know how horrible the day before decisions come out is. Try to distract yourself and stay off of CC. It’s the most you can do to make yourself feel better, as nothing you do now will influence your decision. Good luck!!
Does anyone know whether having “Stern-specific” subjects + ECs help in terms of acceptance if you apply to Stern? Or does it only help if you already have really, really strong standardized test scores?
I have a 31 ACT (not the strongest part of my application…) but I do take IB Econ HL (all 7s since I started the IB) and had a 2 month paid internship at top 2 investment bank last summer… Also involved in politics – have for instance worked with the major in my city (which is the capital + biggest city in my country).
I'm an international from an under-represented country if that changes anything.
Oh well, I’ll guess I’ll find out tomorrow anyways :))
@jemilius16 ugh Ik my act is the worse part, im just not a good test tacker I hope my grades and transcript makes up for that, thank you though !!!
@SternFinance2020 Thank you I hope so!!! great advice though Ive sitting around constantly refreshing the page I think im going to go do some calc hw and try to keep my mind off of things!! :-S
@jemilius16 Looking back at last years RD most decisions released from around 12 AM- 9 AM were rejections (but not all) or wait lists. The accepted decisions were after 3 EST for most people but it might be different this year.
I thought the dean said all decisions will be dropping at the same time tomorrow? Also, I asked NYU’s twitter if they were doing rolling decisions/batches and they said no, that it will all be at the same time.
@Bean98 that’s true. But if nyu doesn’t accept me, I might just go to Boston. So this decision really determines the rest of my life journey…I’m just…can’t get these things out of my mind
Good luck to you!
