@KinzaQam Your FA will only be available through Albert. The email will state your decision and if you’re accepted, include information on what to do next.
@seeniebeenie thank you for your reply. The email has no reference to FA (like no aid awarded or full need met etc.) or some reference is available. You are a current nyuny student? Are you receiving any aid, and how is aid for internationals?
The NYU Admissions Twitter tweeted that financial aid would be available for most people with their decision.
@KinzaQam There is no reference to FA in any of the acceptance correspondence (email or physical packet). The only place your FA will be available is on Albert. Yes, I’m a current NYU student and the only scholarship I was offered was $500/semester, the rest were loans and work study. I’m not familiar with the aid for internationals.
@Penn1248 Unless they’re changing the admissions emails, they probably mean through Albert.
Does anyone know whether NYU sends out admission packages via snail mail to admitted students as well as whatever they post on Albert?
I think I saw ED people get acceptance packages in the mail…
@MIA2020 Yep! It’ll be a paper copy of your acceptance letter along with a packet about NYU/your program and information on upcoming dates/deadlines you should be aware of.
@seeniebeenie So if I wake up to an email from NYU tomorrow morning, that means I’m rejected?
@blueamica well that’s what they did last year they had the rejections and wait lists go out first but they may do it opposite this year

I think I am going to faint. I have both an AP World and Calc test tomorrow! And 6 essays due Friday for scholarships! So much going on! SOOO stressed.
Im on spring break so all ive done is lay around refreshing this page and my email, im so anxious, ive been waitlisted everywhere Syracuse and NYU are my last colleges I hear from

My school’s weighting system is- A in AP = 4.75, A in Honors = 4.5, A in Accelerated = 4.25, A in CP = 4.0
I believe my UWGPA is something like a ~3.85
Junior year AP scores= Calc AB(5), Physics(4), MicroEcon(4), MacroEcon(3), Eng Lang(3)
Senior year AP classes= Calc BC, Psych, Comp Sci, Stats, and Eng Lit.
Subject Test Math 2- 740
Resume/essay/references are good (meaning they won’t be the reason I do or don’t get in)
Any insights would be appreciated, just wondering if I should be expecting the worst for decisions tomorrow.

I interned with Ohio Senator Portman and one of my letters of rec is coming from this internship, interned with Children Hunger Alliance feeding inner city kids during the summer
Essays: my common app essay dealt with me wanting to change the inequality in the educational system, how my internship with Children Hunger Alliance helped that and how that led me to starting a BuildOn chapter in my schools.
My why NYU dealt with the Global Liberal Studies program and being chosen in intermediate school in 5th grade to go to Hong Kong as a young ambassador for my school and how NYU can help expand international knowledge

@kenzielouwho Not that I’m the best judge, but getting wait listed at UChicago is very impressive. That being said, I’m under the impression that American and GW are easier to get into than NYU. Your resume looks good but your ACT score might come back to hurt you. I’d say around 50/50
