******NYU Class of 2020 RD Discussion******

@abcdefghijkl123 I applied using IB diploma as well. but even though you took the IB you still have to submit standardized test scores (ACT or SAT) as well so I took and submitted those too. you should probably talk to your counsellor.

@abcdefghijkl123 Predicted scores aren’t the equivalent of your actual exam scores. If you had already sat for the IB exams, you could use those, but not predicted scores. Do you have any other standardized test scores that you can use? SAT I or II or ACT?

@ohitsirena but this is what it says on the admissions page

You only have to submit results from one of the following:

SAT Reasoning Test (writing test and optional essay not required)
ACT (writing test not required)
Three SAT Subject Test scores
Three AP exam scores
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
Three IB higher-level exam scores if not an IB Diploma candidate
Nationally accredited exam that shows you completed your secondary education

@bouders i have just checked again and they say predicted grades are okay

“Predicted scores” for other tests, such as IB and A Levels, can be submitted using one of the following methods:

Through the Common Application website
; or
Mailed on official school letterhead in a sealed and signed envelope; or
Emailed from a clearly identifiable school email address; or
Submitted using the NYU Predicted Results Form (have a school official do this).
Note: NYU has the right to withdraw an offer of admission if your final test scores are not within an acceptable range of your predicted results.

Does anybody know whether Internationals get mailed packets as well if they are accepted or only people from US have this honor?

@abcdefghijkl123 hmm… I don’t think it should take so long to process though? I go to an international school in Beijing and it only took about 2 weeks :o

@KinzaQam international students get mailed packets as well

Has everyone here applied to NYU only or at its other campuses (Shanghai and/ or Abu Dhabi) too?

@KinzaQam I applied to all three campuses !

@KinzaQam I applied to all three

@kenzielouwho So how are things looking for you? Do you have any idea whether we would get separate emails for each campus and whether the time of email would be same for each campus?

@ohitsirena, if you submit your IB diploma, you don’t have to send your SAT or ACT. I submitted my IB diploma and the standardised testing box is ticked!

@KinzaQam I’m guessing it will be one big email since we ranked what campus we wanted to go to!

@abcdefghijkl123, call NYU up as they may not have updated your portal. Also, go to common app and see what you filled out as the standardised testing box for NYU. they ask you how you would want to submit your testing, IB, SAT subject tests, AP’s, IB 3 higher level exam scores (if you’re not an IB DIPLOMA candidate) or SAT or ACT. Check if you filled out, International Baccalaureate Diploma as you’re preferred method for standardised testing.

@Garyguy909 did you submit your UPG or final results?

For people who have recently mentioned that they now have summer housing as an option, I just wanted to add that I’ve always had this option open. The only tab that is closed is spring. Both summer and academic year is open to me, and summer has different options, such as NYU New York, London, etc.

Predicted grades ahah, exams are in May bro

Hi guys! Just wanted to say best of luck for the upcoming results and hope everyone does well!

@kenzielouwho lol… hope you get into all three campuses. Anyway someone should ask NYU about its decision release time! The Dean’s post was confusing and kinda self-contradictory. And has there been any word about the decision release yet?

for the campus portal, I have summer open for options but 2016-2017 with only NY which i applied for.
