Denied, 4:47 EST. Looks like I’m going to Penn State! To everyone denied or waitlisted, keep your heads up! You all have incredible credentials and any college would be lucky to have you. I got into some extremely competitive schools (like BU) but got wait-listed at my state university, North Carolina State University (50% acceptance rate and my state is 48th in education) so try to remember, college admissions decisions do not define you, and it’s likely that a university out there will recognize your intelligence. Sometimes, it feels like admissions decisions are made by throwing everyone’s names in a hat and picking them out one by one. It’s not always a fair process. To anyone still waiting, good luck! To everyone else, I promise it will all work out
