NYU Class of 2028 Official Thread

I think though we have some id…but this id is not authorized at NYU education system…its like a toy given to the kid to run around and be happy

One more learning now that Forbidden is when the id that you have been given is temporary and not the real one…hence forbidden…so berkeley the id is temporary, till you accept the offer(if at all)

hopefully bro, just a few days waiting, we will all got accepeted

I didn’t apply to Berkeley so have no idea what’s going on. But why is there a Berkeley crossover in so many threads?! Like this one and cornell, all are mentioning Berkeley :no_mouth:

I guess it’s just because Berkeley’s one is so apparent and accurate and many people are applying to UCB. Even Chinese SMS is filled by UCB astrologies lol

Anybody see if you can log into Gmail with your NetID+@nyu.edu email? Somebody seemed to have been successful.

Wdym

So basically everybody has a NYU email created (which you can find in your NYU home), and someone has successfully logged into Gmail with that email

But then what’s the password?

Is says that mine is unauthorized, not available or something

My friend didn’t tell me yet. Maybe not really logging in but just to see whether your email is registred for workspace? Never mind, I’ll wait him to wake up to confirm that.

In previous years, when the NYU email was entered into gmail, the user was redirected to NYU login when it worked, and told the email did not exist when it didn’t work. I think it was for applicants to stern only that it worked. And they used @stern.nyu.edu.

Did stern, just tried this and found account didn’t exist. Did it work for anyone?

What I remember from reading previous threads (especially last year’s closely) was that if it worked, it was highly predictive. If it didn’t work for the applicant, it seemed not predictive at all in any direction (there were admits and rejected, not sure about WL)

Was it the ED thread? I’m not sure why stern would give an email without students committing maybe

Yes, actually it looks like it was a big discussion in ED for Fall 2022 and Fall 2023.

Oh ok, I’m not sure it’ll work for RD then

I see. Then that’ll not work for me

What do you guys see when you go to NYU Home and click NYU email?
