<p>Would it be better to remain as a top student at NYU (~3.95 GPA) or to transfer to Columbia and be an average-above average student (~3.6 GPA) with regards to medical school or other graduate schools? (transferring is easily doable because of connections and cost is unimportant)</p>
<p>To a small degree depends on what type of grad program, as well as what your major is. But in almost every case 3.95 at NYU would be preferable to 3.6 at Columbia.</p>
<p>It would most likely be a chemistry major, and then off to medical school.</p>
<p>I would stay as an exceptional student at NYU, but if you truly crave more rigor, go for Columbia.</p>
