@IABstudio nonono I got the change last Thursday/Friday along with two other Tisch applicants. Our changes looked exactly like what cali1998 has. (And we’ve never gotten it back after it disappeared.) Sorry for the confusion!
@chlxbb Oh. I was thinking maybe only the people who have taken classes or done their camps still have the change
@chlxbb I don’t know if you’ve counted me as one of the Tisch applicants who got the FA change on Friday. I did have the FA change and it disappeared with the group’s changes around 1230pm
@sandmankraju Did you get the FA Change? If you did, can you still see it? Did it disappear or something? I’m so confused! I’ve had mine like this since the first FA Change. It never went away or changed!
wait, can someone explain what the change might indicate?
TISCH people— are you guys all Film & TV applicants?
@cali1998 I had the change but then it disappeared when everyone else’s disappeared.
@remuwannabe yeah I counted you in. I was referring to you and 16eforeman lol
@cali1998, Thanks. I had the change from the first wave, but it was hidden since last Friday when the second wave ended.
Based on the past experience, the third wave (much smaller population) happens around one week before the decision day. It is not coincidence, guys, it is the same pattern.
@cali1998 I had the change but it went back to the default message when everyone else’s did.
edit: Oops didn’t think the first one went through
Ok guys I have a theory -
When the second wave ended, they did not apply the default code or whatever to everyone; they did that manually to those who got the change, which explains why they might have missed out on a couple.
So even though our albert FA summary pages all look the same(default), there’s still a difference between those who got the change that disappeared and those who had never gotten it: the former is FA change + default code, the latter is just default.
Therefore, when the third wave happened, those who didn’t have the change before now have the change as they have survived the last round scrutiny, and no default code has been applied to it yet.
This theory is based on the default code theory someone (I believe it was NTXDad) came up with earlier on.
Oh so we are still relying on the theory?
I could check if there is a code change between the pages? But unfortunately I don’t have a change at all in my Albert. Btw, could someone chance me for Tandon like 2 pages ago, just curious?
Am I the only one who like still has it? Does anyone still have the FA Change? Or did like everyone’s disappear?
@chlxbb
So is the theory still valid? The one about having the FA Change means that you have a good chance of being accepted?
@cali1998 I have no clue since I’m not one of the admissions officers lol this is all guess work
@cali1998 can you post exactly what you have? Or a link to a picture?
Is anyone who knows code able to play around with the website code and alter the lines of code that are blocking the FA change? I only know some python and am able to identify the lines where they have obviously made it so the FA change is hidden. I was just wondering if anyone was able to change these to un-block the mask? I have been able to do this before when websites have a paywall and blur the screen with a pop-up (you simply delete the lines of code that are coding the paywall alert).
Again if NYU is trying to hide the FA change, it is likely that FA change is related to acceptance.
@deller123 tbh I don’t think anyone should play with the website. If something goes wrong that person who could have been accepted might get rejected and like a bunch of stuff. One week isn’t that long and its better to just wait it out instead of playing with their system. This isn’t some website, its college.
I understand where you’re coming from and everyones running out of patience but we just need to hold tight for a couple more days!!
If anyone wants to do it go for it but I don’t recommend it at all. Its better to wait it out then try some stuff that could go bad.
Just my opinion :-S
@jhirn2020 Hey I did, Its on the last page. Its the one with a lot of periods!!
