********NYU ED Class of 2020 Discussion**********

@SternHopeful11
I was able to view the FA change 2017 - No self serve…just before the default covered it.

I did not attend any Summer pre-college etc so I don’t think I am seeing the same page as you are describing.

I don’t think I have the “go to…” or maybe I am not looking for it in the right place?

I also DID NOT apply for financial aid

@SternHopeful11 what the heck i dont have anything under the drop down menu. Only Account Inquiry.
fyi, I had the change in the second wave, which is now gone.
I didnt apply for aid and didnt attend any nyu summer programs either

edit: @remuwannabe same

@sternhopeful2018 @NTXDad where is the student center thing?

I went to the financial aid summary page but the dropdown only has Account Inquiry.

Maybe the SAP drop down is only for people that had previously been registered there(classes/camps)

@sandmankraju
-Go to Albert
-Select Applicants
-Select Financial Aid summary
-There’s a drop down box the says “go to…” to the right of your name

  • Select Student Center
  • Under Finances select “Satisfactory Academic Progress”

There is no drop down box that says “go to…” to the right of the name. (It says Account Inquiry and that’s the only thing that drops unfortunately.

Hmm, I’m not sure then. @NTXDad has your son done the precollege program?!

it may only show up for people who attended in previous terms. I’d say keep watching it to see if something shows up.

Nothing for me either…

@NTXDad I went onto my financial aid summary page and all I see is my name and to the right there is a drop down but it doesn’t have “go to…” just a dropdown and Account Inquiry is the only option there

@SternHopeful11 yes
What about u?

@SternHopeful11

  1. No FA Change. Not right now at least. I'm not sure if it went back to default without me noticing.
  2. What I see: 2017 New York University SAP Undetermined 2016 New York University Meeting SAP 2015 New York University Meeting SAP

I’m not very familiar with the FA change. Could someone explain if it was a temporary thing, or do you guys still have the change?

I got the FA change but not my drop down does not say “go to”, the only option is “account inquiry”. @NTXDAD i believe you said your child was in NYU’s summer program? And @SternHopeful11 thanks for noticing the change! but since you’ve worried us and asked us to check, you owe it to us to at least say if you were in the NYU summer program bc that seems to be related. Pls reply soon to save some people of stress :slight_smile:

check previous pages

@jrhirn2020 are you talking to me? Because @sternhopeful11 hasn’t revealed if they went to the precollege yet, only @NTXDad has. @sternhopeful11 you’ve cause some probably unnecessary panic on this thread so it would be great if you could just answer the question! Nothing personal, I just think this thread already had way too much speculation which other college applicants don’t have to go through :slight_smile:

@SternHopeful11 I have no clue what you think you’re onto, and don’t take this as an insult, but I don’t think you’re right. We all seem to have one of several situations. I didn’t get the FA change (didn’t check during the short window though), but unlike @sandmankraju I have a Student Center option. The tab looks strikingly familiar to my OSU one, btw, wonder if they all use the same system. Anyways, under my finances section, I don’t have a SAP option, just “My Account” (random crap under) and “Financial Aid” (more random crap). I think mine is the default, although I think it strange that some of us wouldn’t even have a Student Center, while others have a SAP section. Maybe it is due to the Precollege thing (I did apply and not attend though)

sorry about the stress guys, im stressed too. :confused:

No sorry! I was saying that to @Zinubi!

@Zinubi did you do the NYU precollege program??

Guys, as a serious question though. Should I get accepted into NYU ED, will I be able to view the full financial aid amount immediately (or at least an estimate)? That will actually have to be a huge factor as to whether or not I can attend NYU, so I’d rather know whether or not I have grounds to decline ED admission. (All provided I get in, which I’m quite nervous about)
