Nearly 2 days. Good luck guys…
Good Luck everyone!
I literally have been trying to attach myself to a few other colleges just to feel better if I don’t get in, but it’s honestly just making me more aware of why NYU is the most perfect university for me. AHH. I am going crazy. There’s so much I plan to do. SO MUCH. I applied to Tisch and Gallatin (and I pretty much like both schools equally, but I wanted to submit a portfolio and am more focused in and passionate about film than anything else).
WHAT SCHOOLS WITHIN NYU DID YOU GUYS APPLY TO AND WHY?
Applied to nursing
@remuwannabe ~ She worked with the faculty extensively for 1 month this summer. They do know her personally, so I am hoping this helped her~she didn’t hound them for a recc~but I know they write up each student and put in a file She worked her butt off and earned 2 A’s and a B for the 9 credit hours she earned . Additionally I feel like at the final band project presentation that her group did was well received. Fingers crossed
@juliep6677 It sounds like your daughter is as poised as she could possibly be with the Clive Administrative support team beacuse of her hard work with them. Fingers crossed that the Tisch and NYU admissions officers also recognize the same stellar stats and ReMu history. It’s such a crapshoot. We never know where we fall with so many variables that we have no control of, variables that the University needs to complete their freshman profile - URM, international students, gender, legacy, celebrity relatives, VIPs, entrepreneur choice etc., portfolio (some kids have performed in MSG and have recording contracts already) which sometimes I feel may or may not weigh more heavily than how the kids look on paper. Let’s hope the admissions staff recognizes the passion and talent in our kids.
@LoverofNYU Be confident. Your ECs are in line and business related. Your SAT could’ve been better but your Math 2 score more than made up for it. GPA is perfectly fine. All I can say is maybe more APs, but that depends on what your school offers. You have fantastic chances, no need to worry. Best of luck.
You are the best @iywang, thanks so much for the chance!! My school offers 16 AP’s, I took 7. Is that alright?
@LoverofNYU I think that’s alright. I was going to ask what your SAT1 Math score was because Stern is crazy about Math but then I saw your SAT Subjects Math 2 scores lol. I think you have just the right testing for Stern and great ECs about Business. Your Chem testing is, I think, not that good, but I doubt if they would care.
I think, unless you’re an international students will the need-aware stuffs, under need-blind policy you’ll most definitely be in. But don’t get too excited, be prepared for both scenarios, good luck.
@ferrarivettel My SAT I math is 760 lol, 670 on CR. Yeah my Chem testing is poor, but my counselor said that wouldnt really matter. I am a domestic applicant not applying for aid. Ive been preparing myself for rejection lol to be honest. Thanks so much for the chance!
about 50 hours from now i’lll either be crying or crying, because accepted or rejected i’ll be crying :((
^^ same. Does anyone know what the decision will look like on albert? Will it be a green button or will it be like a letter?
What’s the first thing you guys would do if you find yourself accepted on the 15th? just curious
@chlxbb cry of happiness
@ferrarivettel What school did you apply to?
Last 48 hours counting down…
Do you all think that receiving the FA change in the first wave (late November) is still a good sign?
@Kmac1521 do you still have the change?
Do you guys think that the majority of people that apply ED are for stern and tisch and therefore, people that apply to CAS and Steinhardt ED have a slightly better chance (when it comes to ED)?
@IABstudio Nope, it reverted back to “Award Access Not Available” when everyone else’s did. I did, however get the change during the first wave in November
