So for what it’s worth I talked to the admissions office today and they said that when decisions come out there will be no wait listed ED1 students. I’ll just be happy when the waiting is over. :-??

@gothosaurus @hermilabling No schools ever “wait-list” an ED students (ED1 as NYU calls it). “Defer” is ED’s waitlist. Deferred students will be evaluated with the RD students.
And NYU already stated that they very much avoid deferring a student, only those extreme cases when a student is obviously qualified but there simple aren’t enough ED seats for everybody.

Does anyone know if Tisch specifies which drama studio they are sorting you into in the letter if you are accepted? I can’t remember but I feel like somewhere it might have said that info comes a bit later.

Parent of an ED applicant here~ is anyone applying to ReMU? Daughter’s SAT’s 2000 GPA 3.8 and creative portfolia (who knows!) She did participate this summer in ReMU’s Summer High School Month long program. Anyone else?
@juliep6677 hi. My kid is applying ED to ReMu also. Your daughter’s stats look great in my opinion. The admissions process for ReMu has never been clarified which leads me to believe that it is as subjective as they need to be. The ReMu applicants have to be accepted by the ReMu faculty, the Tisch Admisssions committee, as well as the NYU admissions committee. Some say their stats count 50/50 academic/artistic. But if the ReMu administration wants you, they will “flag your file” and admissions (NYU and/or Tisch committees) will review the file trying to find reasons they would accept you rather than reject. So it would be be an advantage.
Have you been in touch with any ReMu faculty that can possibly recommend your daughter personally?

Essays: Pretty good. Counselor said they were some of the best she read.
