“International Students: NYU offers limited financial support in the form of institutional grants/scholarships to international freshmen admitted to our New York campus. Grants/scholarships will be based upon a combination of financial need and academic merit. Students who are not U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens and who wish to be considered for institutional financial aid when applying for admission to the NYU New York campus should complete ONLY the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE to be considered for institutional financial aid funds. International students cannot apply for financial support after they are admitted. Admission to NYU New York is need-aware for international applicants; New York University will consider a family’s financial need as reported on the PROFILE when evaluating the student’s application for admission.”
WOOOO THREE DAYS GUYS!! Logging off CC and Albert for the weekend until Tuesday Don’t stress too much guys – rejection isn’t the end of the world (I’m already considering myself rejected lol) but from what I’ve seen on the forum, you guys are all HIGHLY unlikely to get rejected. You’re all wonderful eligible applicants who really shouldn’t be stressing out!!
I can only hope that I’ll be seeing you guys at Washington Square next year. That would be great. Peace out guys, and good luck!!
Apparently many are choosing to log off for a few days before the result day lol. That explains the oddly quiet forum compared to the many days before.
Guess I can’t panic with the others CC members on decisions day lol. Last year’s RD applicants had a lot of fun freaking out together on CC, especially because decisions come in waves, and everyone was just praying they wouldn’t get an early email.
Hey guys, i read all the posts and i am really lost. under my FA summary, theres only “award access not available”, does that mean i should start my RD essays? Someone mentioned that there multiple waves about the FA change, so the page looks different every day? Does anyone have a FA change right now?
@josiejiang the ‘FA change’ is supposedly a chart/table that says 2017 award access not available i believe. the change refers to “award access not available” changing to the chart.
so what happened is that a bunch of people started getting the fa change during ‘the first wave’ which was about two weeks ago. a lot of people were discouraged when they didn’t receive the change. then last friday, all of a sudden, from 11:40-12:30 a bunch of people got the change. this was the ‘second wave’. but for some reason, at 12:30, regardless of when you received the FA change, everyone’s financial aid pages reverted back to ‘award access not available’.
don’t lose hope! you might’ve received the change on friday but you just couldn’t check. as of right now, everyone should have ‘award access not available’, except for a few people who received the change yesterday and the day before that. it’s weird, but I really do think that the FA change is an unreliable indicator of acceptance, no matter how much it correlated in past years.
@josiejiang as @revenientis described it is a change in the chart / table in the Financial Aid section. This year it said “2017 - New York University - No Self service access for this aid year.” Most of us who have the “FA change” had our page change back to what it used to say before it changed “Award access not available.” This is what is being called the Default page. (There are still a few CC posters who say they still see their FA change. The majority of us only see the default page)
You guys think there will be a chance that they decide to release early, maybe on Monday or early Tuesday? Or maybe they’ll just hope we don’t crash Albert?
