About 20 hours until official decisions. Dying! Anyone from CT get the housing change?
@deller123 Thanks for making a new forum page for it!!!
Regardless of whether I get in or not, and to everyone else out there who doesn’t get it, remember that NYU doesn’t make college opportunities. You make them. Regardless of wherever you go for your higher academic needs, you have the same ability to get the same things NYU students do and possibly even more. So screw NYU if they don’t take you, just make it your mission to smut NYU and prove to them that you are worth more than they think. That’s what I plan to do anyways. GL everyone for tomorrow and keep looking forward.
Regarding the new page:
I will be making a map for next years applicants, and others to follow, so they can gauge when to expect changes in Albert and housing. So please provide state, region of state(N,S,E,W), and wave of FA change or if you didn’t have one, as well as whether you applied for FA change in general, and finally the school that you applied to. Hopefully I can get it all organized for the future and judge relationships to all of it. (The whole map is probably gonna take about a week and a half to compile fully)
It sounds like so far only people from the northern area have gotten this housing change?? correct me if i am wrong
Hey folks I honestly dont think that there’s any necessity to check this housing thing or even the “FA change”, and to add pressure on ourselves. Only one day left, and the result will be coming out soon. Hah I am much curious that will the applicants next year check on our posts and feel nervous about these stuffs, like what we are doing now. I personally think that NYU is doing everything they could to cover the bugs since they must have found out before we do. NYU is a top school and wouldn’t make everything so ridiculous. @ferrarivettel I agree with you to some extend, maybe they are trying to get things done by process before 5pm. But thats just a theory.
Just do not lose hope. Please remain patient and do what you are gonna do, life goes on. However, I also think that we will definitely recall these freaking out moments when we get older!
Oh, and for anyone curious to whether they can relook at your application if you want to get accepted instead of rejected. Don’t bother calling or emailing, as they stated that they won’t bother looking at it again as they already have too many applicants to look over. Sorry to anyone who is let down by this, but just start focusing on other colleges after that for RD, EDII, etc.
@greenthecolor I’m from the South East. Have “freshman NYC”.
any idea on what nonrenewable undergrad means? or were just guessing here
Does anybody not have the green button for fall in nyc?
Just clicked the green access application and it took me to a form to select my roommate preferences ??! Did anyone else get this ?!
It has like 10 different options
hi guys, disregard this post if you don’t want to stress about theories and stuff – I know this all could mean nothing, but hey, it’s fun (albeit stressful) to theorize about these things. I’m doing this to pass the long, long hours before 5PM tomorrow
REALLY. WARNING. FREAK OUT POST AHEAD. I know I tend to overthink things, so really, don’t take anything I say seriously. I’m just so nervous!!
I’m an international student applying to CAS. I got the ‘Freshman - NYC Fall 2016’ green button and I hit access application and I freaked out when it genuinely linked me to a real housing application. I quickly smashed the home link on the top bar expecting to see the original page where all the seasons were. Instead, I saw this: http: //imgur. com/KQOQ0bZ
I know it was dumb and risky of me to try accessing the application, but if anyone else is daring enough to do this (which I doubt bc honestly guys, it’s risky), can you tell me if you see that too?
i clicked it too and got the housing application but i have unrenewable undergrad green button
See the same housing application thing on mine not sure if everyone sees that though
what does it say after you click on the butoon
No… But don’t worry about it. You probably just overloaded your computer/browser or something. And as far the actual application, we should be fine as long as we don’t submit or change anything.
I’m from MA (applied to Gallatin and I opted for on-campus housing) and I have non-renewable undergraduate, however it appears that I can start a housing application. Is it the same thing for anyone else with non-renewable undergraduate?
From CT, got Freshman NYC
i have that too @slj1997
@slj1997 same for me
Yeah, I can edit/continue in the application (as far as I want, I think. Haven’t tested), and I’m listed as an Nonrenewable Undergraduate. As a side theory, this could be due to not enough housing space, and so this is something they plan to fix or change later. I know they’ve had issues with space before.
