Okay I applied to cas and have a screen that says Florence falls freshman and then a button that says access your application … Wtf does this mean

Okay I checked my housing status and it says “Fall in NYC Freshman”. Then I clicked on the green button saying “Access Application” and it took me to the actual “Academic Year 2016-2017 Housing Application” website.
I want to see what will happen so I did some research on all the housing options for freshmen at NYU. I then completed the application and selected my housing options from preference 1 to preference 7. I also did the roommate preference questionnaire. Once I confirmed my application, NYU Housing sent me a confirmation email telling me that I have successfully completed my housing application for Fall Freshman…and it says “we look forward to seeing you soon” at the end of the confirmation email lol
Anyone has the same situation??? I think there is certain correlation between the housing change and admission decision.
I hope it’s a good sign??? Fingers crossed !!! One day to go !!!

@ayli9784 I don’t know if it’s a good sign that you could submit it per se but regardless, I read in another forum (from 2012) that technically you aren’t supposed to access/fill out the application until NYU sends you instructions to do it otherwise you might make it non-renewable. Again, it might not hold anymore but that’s what I read!
Did anyone APPLY for ON-CAMPUS HOUSING, and their’s still says “UNRENEWABLE UNDERGRADUATE”?

@Amzie97 thank you!!! I went back to the housing page and it didn’t change to “non-renewable”. It still stays the same as “Fall in NYC Freshman” with the green button “Acess Application”. I could also edit the application… Now I felt bad that I tempted to complete the application for curiosity… Hope it won’t affect my admission decision in a bad way lol
Hi! So I also did some research on last year’s admissions thread regarding the housing change.
I didn’t see anyone who had “Freshman” not get accepted.
Those who had non-renewable undergraduate were either waitlisted or rejected.
Again, not certain, but I wouldn’t rule it out.
