@ferrarivettel sorry i was unclear! i meant that her housing changed from undergraduate whatever to freshman new york back to undergraduate yesterday sometime in the a.m. - i have no proof of this other than her own word but i trust her!
i choose not to believe it (even tho some of my stuff has changed) because it infringes on a lot of NYU admissions policies. i also trust what my dad says (works in admissions at school even more selective than NYU): no matter when admissions plans to release their decisions, they wouldn’t have such an obvious bug available online - even if it was the night before
It feels like the calm before the storm right now. I don’t have an exam today so I’m going to be at home trying to study all day while also freaking out until 5:00. I doubt they will release decisions early… if anything they will be delayed (a state school where I live tried to do decisions on the applicant portal and it kept crashing for the first few hours). Good luck to everyone!!!
Yeah it’s reasonable that they would not allow such an obvious bug online. But if the housing change is a bug, the FA change which people spend hundreds of post discussing should also be a bug. There are way too many bugs in this case. Also, there is definitely some sort of correlation between FA change/housing change and the admission decision according to thousands of relatively reliable threads from the past years. It can’t be completely random or simply a technical bug. I feel like NYU is kinda special on these issues compared to other schools since I didn’t see applicants to other competitive schools freak out about their financial aid changes and housing issues since they mostly have absolute no access to these before the decision comes out.

Thank you, fellow NYU ED1er! It has been fun with you on CC in the past 45 days.
My two cents on the process:
All applicants have their defult status in NYU computer system that will be the resources for our next four years.
Addmission decision is the first real first step that signify the later steps according to NYU plan such as FA, Housing, NYU email etc.
FA change is the second step for these offered addimision (in waves). You may or maynot see change - NYU did somthing to hide it- ask ourselves why they hide it if it means nothing.
Housing is the third steps, you will see the status change if you are accepted.
There is no bug in the system; we see all changes because the historical reasons/digging…
I hope I will be proved I am right. NYU is my first choice.

not sure if that means anything to anyone, but it’s there.
