@rochester123 well it keeps saying that im using an invalid ID when I was trying to log into the computer store link through Albert… This is making me upset… :-S Do you think it’s a bad sign ?? Is it like those who cant log into this link are not registered yet??
@ayli9784 and everybody else - this doesn’t/shouldn’t mean anything! all of my friends last yr who applied to NYU have reported multiple changes to their portal thing and it was a fair mix of people who got in/didn’t. it’s literally a glitch or region-based; if it was a surefire glitch that predicted acceptances, NYU would have that (excuse my language) sh*t patched up asap.
i am wondering though, just out of sheer curiosity - would the FA change occur for somebody who applied for no financial aid whatsoever?
@isabelly212 I think some people who are not applying for FA reported to have FA change in the second wave. I also don’t know how this could happen… But it did happen to someone who’s not applying for financial aid 
@isabelly212 oh are you saying that failure logging into the bookstore link shouldn’t mean anything??? Yes it would make sense since majority of the people here could not log into that website as well. Thank you for this message !!!
@ayli9784 i would say that all of these albert glitches are inconsequential - decisions are being very clearly released at 5pm tomorrow so i’m pretty sure the NYU admissions team is aware that us eager applicants will grasp at any and every loose straw imaginable to try to ease the stress. if there was anything of real consequence available on albert, the site would go down and it would be fixed immediately.
(my dad works in admissions at a different selective school and that’s his two cents).
Its coming in 12 hours guys. I’m sick to my stomach!!
@isabelly212 what do you think the housing change “Fall in NYC Freshman” with the green access to the housing application for NYU Fall Freshman Adademic Year 2016-2017 might indicate ?
@ayli9784 it might be a regional thing, it could be completely random - right now i still have undergrad but i am able to fill out and access the application too. i believe that if anything were to be a tell it would be the bookstore link - the housing change is WAY too obvious and somebody from admissions or tech would catch on, as it’s basically telling you if you’re in or not (which - as much as it sucks - isn’t going to happen until tomorrow at 5pm from the official admissions team).
also, funny tidbit for you guys - i asked my college counselor why they decided to release admissions at 5pm instead of 5am. her answer? “so that kids would be able to focus at school.”

@isabelly212 Heh… Maybe its because the admissions office closes at 5:00pm and they don’t want to deal with the hundreds of phone calls and questions.

@isabelly212 yea but it’s also noticeable that people didn’t start to find out the housing thing until the night before the admission decision result day. The admission wouldn’t bother to hide it since it’s literally the night before the 15th.or they meant to start setting up for admired students?
Also, someone who applied to CAS as primary and LSP as alternative reported to have “Florence Fall Freshman” and those who applied to Tandon has “Brooklyn Fall Freshman” specificlly. Considering the location is very clear pertaining to where people applied to, I don’t think it’s completely random. Also, the past threads and experiences from Class of 2019 showed a certain correlation between the housing and acceptance/denial.i just don’t understand why they would make access to housing application available to rejected students. Nonetheless, it could also just be glitches?? lol

Yes some people got their FA changes at very weird timings as well :))
@isabelly212 can it be like the admission started to register accepted ED1 students days ago so someone got the housing two days ago and some got it yesterday since they won’t be able to register for all in a single day?
sigh…Why does NYU have to do this to us…

@isabelly212 I’m sorry but I guarantee you can’t have a “housing change” two days ago, I check everyday and by Sunday midnight Pacific Time the site wasn’t updated with the new Fall 2016 application.
But I agree, it may not mean anything. I mean I believe that it means something, I checked everyday for the housing status because an older mate told me to (he said that last year the housing change was even a better indication at admission than the FA Change). But it is what it is: a theory. You can choose to believe it, or you can choose to believe in your application.
It’s only 12 hours to go, and from what I see the teenagers here are already too tired to be worried lol. So good luck to all (y)
