@enr3291 tbh i don’t really know but it’s going to be either the 14th, 15th, or 16th unless they release decisions earlier.
but i’m leaning towards the 14th because they want to send the mail asap before winter break.

@stevenj17 CAS for journalism! journalism students have to pick a second major eventually so I’m thinking of international relations or political science. I also said I would consider Liberal Studies (the two year program), Gallatin, and Steinhardt (they have a communications major). I really don’t know what I would do if I didn’t get into CAS since I reallyyy wanna jump straight into journalism but yeah. Wbu??

@stevenj17 hahaha ik, at first I wasn’t gonna do that but someone from my school at NYU currently suggested it. where are you applying from? I’m like an hour north of NYC
@enr3291 I live in Henrico, VA, but I grew up in NYC and Albany. 
reading over this thread, these “indicators” are all just little things we’re trying to hold on to so we have some way of knowing what is going on. unfortunately, we won’t be able to know until the 15th, maybe even the 14th. we all worked extremely hard for this, I get it. but I’ve read previous threads and they all say that none of these are indicators. I know it’s easier said than done, but please try not to focus on these because it’s just going to cause unnecessary stress for yourself and others. in the previous threads, people said that they didn’t see any changes and they got accepted, and some people did see changes and got rejected. it’s hard for us to be in the dark about what is happening with our application, what the admissions officers think about it, whether or not our next four years will be at NYU… but we just gotta pull through for 10 more days.
I applied to car for psych and then Steinhardt for applied psych as my backup, and then I also marked off lsp and Gallatin . ill go anywhere so long as it means I get to go to nyu

Would having like a million backups reduce your chance of getting into NYU bc they would think that you aren’t decided on a particular major/subject? Do you think they made all decisions already for ED1?
Anyone applying to NYU Shanghai as primary/alternative campus??
@stevenj17 I mean idk, the LS program is only two years long and then you go to your major, and MCC is similar to their journalism program so for me, it made sense. As for Gallatin, my application shows my different interests that connect in a weird way, so I feel I could fit there also. If the backups didn’t connect to your first choice then maybe it would hurt more than help you, but who knows. I made sure that my supplement discussed why I love their journalism program to avoid that issue. I’m pretty sure the final weeks leading up to decision day are left to work out all FA stuff so I’d say all decisions are made but again, who knows.
