@shinybell is your netid the same as the one you were originally assigned when you got your portal info or different? I thought that if your netid changed from your original to your student id on Albert that meant you got in. Go to the housing form (the page where show Spring 2019) and check if you netid changed.
@hilltop18, where in ALbert, should I look for the net id change ? I don’t quite understand. Thx
@Hilltop18 , the netID or the NYU ID? The net ID is the same one that is used in the email.the NYU ID is what I understood becomes the student number eventually. I don’t understand why it would differ from Albert to begin with tbh.
Anyway last year’s ED thread had loads of people get accepted with no housing or FA changes first. Some of them still had to wait for those updates after they got their acceptance notifications even.
welp my net ID has yet to change, expecting the worst now ?
I clicked on the housing payments and it took me to the office of bursar website and it says “Student Account There is no activity on this account at this time.” but then the ID shown is different from my university ID shown that they sent me originally. Is this what you guys are talking about?
@Hilltop18 my net ID is still the same but i have a student ID on Albert when i click on ‘housing payments’ since earlier this week
@agulhati yes. The student number on there is the same as the one on the Albert dashboard profile, but different from the N-number NYU ID assigned at application. There is also the net ID, which is your initials followed by 3 random numbers.
And last year some people had changes and got accepted and a couple had changed and got rejected or deferred, and many had no changes and got accepted. So nothing means anything until you get your decision!

@agulhati that’s what someone above said but previous threads from students at NYU said the N-number becomes your student number. So I don’t understand why they are even different to begin with (unless everyone gets the same bogus student number on Albert?!)
Again, many people last year had no changes and got accepted.
I guess we just have to wait and see.

Did any of you get an FA change? I didn’t but I was reading that article by the NYU local about all these theories and theres just so many possibilities it’s making me anxious
