Just a quick question here: Ik NYU is test flexible and i didnt submit any subject test (i submitted my SAT M800 E700 1500) TOO LATE TO REGRET but will that be a problem? Stern applicant here! Im not a home school applicant and have taken Ap calculus
If you had strong subject test score than I’m sure you will regret. Stern is extremely competitive, perhaps the most selective school at NYU. A lot of stern applicants have mid 1400s-1500s sat scores and competitive subject test scores. However they are holistic once again, so hopefully it won’t be too much of an impact. You do seem like a great candidate!

Hi, I applied ED to Stern. I’m Asian and female. I got a 1410 SAT (750 Math and 660 Reading) and have a 3.3 unweighted GPA. I explained why my GPA was low, which was because of my sophomore year, when my mom got sick so I had A LOT of trouble managing my time, on average I spent 8 hours a day taking care of her and my house. But I brought it back up Junior year.

ok so i called the financial aid people about my fafsa and they said they didnt have my ssn so i got it sorted out, but do you think that means im not getting in because they hadn’t bothered to ask me about it? or do they usually not look at aid until you get in? idk it seems bad ugh

they reached out to my friend about something like this with his FAFS… not sure exactly what though. Don’t know if that means anything?
I’m not exactly sure… but in full honesty, all the decisions are probably made by now! Also, we receive a financial award package with the decision notification. If you get admitted, you can contact the financial aid office to match your package with your application. I know that NYU emphasized on putting ur accurate SSN on common app, so there wouldn’t be problems. Don’t worry too much! We only have one more day to find out decisions. Don’t stress your self out more than you have to during this dreadful wait~
Do they look at financial aid for applicants that they do not accept? I am wondering if they would do this
The lady I talked to on the phone said it would take a few days to process…so I would find out about the FA after I get accepted but agh I hope them not reaching out about it doesn’t mean anything although she said this won’t have an affect on my decision
