How many times have I refreshed this page waiting for someone to post good news? Like 100. Lol. I must be desperate to get into this school.

Guys, I know this “Award Access Not Available” rumor might sound harsh to you, but as an applicant in the same boat as you guys, I really want to say that we shouldn’t worry too much about it. First of all, we are not sure whether if this rumor is true, and yes, people have called NYU and they said its not related whatsoever. I personally really want to get into NYU as well, but I believe I have learned more than ever whilst writing my supplement essay. It opened my eyes to my potential, and trust me, once you have faith in yourself, you will definitely success in some way. We are all talented in some way, probably not superb academically, but, the real world isn’t just about near perfect SATs and GPAs right?

It took me a night of insomnia to come to this conclusion. At the prime of our youth, we should not panic too much about things we can’t change or predict. Instead, we should stop worrying about the rumor and spend that time in something more productive! Who knows, we might even get an offer on the day?

I also want to thank NYU for being a goal in my mind in the past year and give me inspiration in life through those essays we had to write. But I guess if our talent aren’t going to be recognized, then another door should be always open for us. Look at Jeremy Lin, he got rejected for Stanford and ended up in Harvard. And I wouldn’t believe he would have such a bright career if he got accepted to Stanford. As a process of becoming an adult, we gotta prepare ourselves with stronger mentality.

Good luck to all us of and don’t let yourself defeated,
Jason L

We all know that it will work out, this isn’t the end of the world, and we will all succeed one way or another, but when you’ve put so much into an application, it’d be sociopathic not to worry at least a little bit.

ED 2 comes out next week, good luck guys! fingers crossed for all of you guys

my stats are pretty low but I have a lot of presidential positions, as well as 6 AP classes and go to an excellent arts school in south florida.
I got an 1830 on the SAT and a 30 on the ACT, and I’d like to think I’m an excellent essay writer
applied for the college of arts and sciences for journalism.
hope I’ll be meeting some of you in the fall!

My midyear grades were download on 1/31. Is it within reason that they were used in my decision?

Even if it probably wasn’t a decision much to my liking…

T-6 days hopefully if I get in I can tell enxt year’s applicants that the FA thing is a myth because mine STILL has not changed.

I really believe it is a myth. Mine has changed to 2014 Award Access Not Available, but I just don’t think that a school like NYU would have such a glaring admissions glitch.

Well, one more week, hang in there :)

but aeisrael… your stats for CAS extremely qualifies you so that FA should be a good thing…!

I applied to CAS and now the program has changed to Liberal Studies…did I get in or something?

Most likely yes. When did it change?

I’m not sure.Until today I haven’t checked Albert since a few weeks ago

chacha! did your FA status change yet? I am really starting to believe I already got rejected :(

chacha what are your stats and why do you think you got LSPed?

Hey you guys
I’m from India and I applied ED 2 just like all of you
So, the results are released in a few more days, but I’m already aware of mine. My obsession with NYU forced me to read every word of every thread based on NYU since 2010 and I’ve done a bit of speculating on this Albert-acceptance dilemma.
Basically, from what I found, every single person who did not see a link leading to 2013 or 2014 or any message about ‘self-service’ was denied admission.
It’s just my observation, it may not be true, but I haven’t gotten anything in that section so I’m considering myself screwed

If anyone, ANYONE, knows of a person/people who did not receive those links in financial aid but still got in, please mention their story on the forum?
I’m really not a pessimist but for some reason, the closer we get to the 15th the more superstitious and the more negative I become

Good luck everyone
Hope everyone’s dreams come true :)

it still says “There is no financial aid information found.” and if i did get put into the LSP program it’s definitely because of my low sat scores but everything else was great

@chacha123 Do you want LSP?

yes I would be very content with it

From previous threads, I think the change from CAS to LSP means they considered you for LSP. I don’t know if that means that you were changed from CAS pool to LSP, but I know that it just reflects that they were considering you for the program.
