<p>@xamandurr: Not necessarily. It could mean, judging from others on the board, that they haven’t activated your account yet. Also, what mazz0408 said, some people can’t access their ID until later. Only trust the official letter :). Best of luck!</p>

<p>Yeah, I don’t know why people are jumping the gun and assuming that the NETID thing is the be all, end all of getting in. Mine didn’t work before I received my acceptance letter. Trust the letter!</p>

<p>I called earlier today and they told me that a decision hasn’t even been made on my application (though I’m willing to bet it’s because my application wasn’t considered complete until late April, even though everything had been received prior to the April 1st deadline). To my chagrin, I’ve probably been placed with all the late people, through no fault of my own.</p>

<p>I hope everyone else is fairing better than I am.</p>

<p>I called and a decision has NOT been made yet. It’s pretty much their fault though, I sent in my app and everything else on / before the deadline and I had to call the last week of April to find out, on my own, that they are “missing” my college transcript. Sighs. I am getting really anxious. I hope I get a postive decision soon.</p>

Midterm report: A+, A+, A, A-, A-</p>

<p>ECs in college are:

AP: 5s in Bio, Calc BC, Chem, Micro & Macro, Chinese, and Japanese. 4 in English Lit.
IB: 7s in Chinese HL, Econ SL. 6 in History SL. 5 in English SL. </p>

<p>I told them I need to sign a housing lease by the end of the week.
The woman on the phone transferred me to an admissions officer and I told her the same thing.
She looked up the file and said they’ll send an email.</p>

<p>The reason why they sent me an email was probably because my home address is overseas and they’ve dispatched the package there.</p>

<p>Accepted! Here are my stats…

  • History major and Religious Studies minor
  • 37 units of straight A’s at a good junior college in Santa Rosa, CA. I had 12 more units of straight A’s signed for my midterm reports, so basically 50 units with a 4.0.
  • I never took a language in college (I did take 3 years in high school however), nor trig or calculus, which I thought might count against me but I guess not! I took six history classes, Nature of Mathematics, Pysch, Sociology, two Anthro classes, English 1A, Art History, Philosophy with Critical Thinking, Astronomy, Linguistics, and Comparative Mythology.
  • I don’t really know how to evaluate my essays, but they were at least average to good.
  • EC’s: I’ve volunteered at a humane society for two years, am part of my school’s astronomy club, am a member of a hiking club, play non-competitive intramural sports, make movies (I won a film festival once), play music in two bands (have recorded a few albums and toured on them), and have received Dean’s Highest Honors for three semesters in a row. I have had a job since my junior year of high school, and for a while I had two.
  • 3.0 in high school! Bleeeeh. My essay was about me getting to junior college and realizing how awesome school is, so it ended up working for me I guess.
  • My letter of rec was from a Princeton grad who has a masters and whose class I took for three semesters. I have no idea how good or bad it was.
  • Did not submit SAT scores (I never took them in high school)</p>
