<p>yea. </p>

<p>GPA 3.695 i know this is really bad. it was 3.9 after freshman year, but i did really badly last semester, 3.15. </p>

<p>not much EC. one semester of admission ambassador, cross-culture discussion group leader. </p>

<p>no internship experience. </p>

<p>pretty good essay. i spent a whole lot of time on it 'cause it’s the only thing that saves my ass.</p>

<p>I got my acceptance packet today for Gallatin! I was offered housing and everything! So excited.</p>

<p>so happy to know the people who got in. cuz i just got the decision by phone… and i was rejected at the beginning of may actually, according to the consoler… well… stern is still a dream now… hah… i guess i’ll just stay in BU… that’s fine…>.<… sigh.</p>

<p>in the big essay, i used a story of how John Woodruff won a gold metal in 1936 berlin Olympic games to illustrate why i want to transfer. then i talked more in detailed about the reason to transfer. basically i think nyu provides to accessibility to the study and practice of finance. then i said NYU is very comprehensive and NYC is dynamic. </p>

<p>and for the new yorker one, i choose Bud Fox from movie wall street. and i just showed how important business ethics is.</p>

<p>for the movie one, the point was to demonstrate a Buddhism belief. this one worries me a lot 'cause the belief is very much about eastern culture (i am from china btw) and when i went to the writing center, i gotta explained it for 10 minutes before anyone could understand it.</p>

<p>Hey guys- I haven’t heard anything from them yet. Do you think I should try calling or emailing? Or should I just wait it out? I am on the west coast…but I am absolutely dying waiting to find out!</p>

<p>I wouldn’t worry, linso. I was accepted over the phone last Friday, live in Manhattan, and have yet to receive paper notification of the decision. For all those still waiting, it’s definitely possible they just haven’t sent out your hopefully good decision yet. Good luck.</p>
