for future applicants with low GPA’s: don’t be discouraged by people who got rejected. if you’re meant to be at NYU, you will be. i got accepted to tisch film with a 3.0 from university of pittsburgh! granted i only have 12 credits and i was a math major at pitt… i really don’t know why i was even accepted but i’m happy i was. i think what saved me was my portfolio and my high school stats/SAT scores? who knows lol point is: don’t give up just because your college GPA isn’t stellar. NYU definitely looks at their applications holistically
@bk4567 @crc213 I was notified through Albert and this was maybe the first week of April for fall 2017. I did get an email telling to check Albert.
Tbh, I would rather be rejected now then during the last batch. Just want it to be over! At least I can cut my pains if I was to know my fate earlier.

@jasonyty12 I agree! I’m sick of being in limbo while I wait for NYU to respond. I’ve already missed summer registration at my current university.
@crc213 I just hope (if I get in) to hear back by May 22nd or whenever the last day to sign up for summer classes is.

Hey guys! Im an international applicant, trying to trasnfer to Stern. I just got an e-mail saying to sign up for an english program this summer. Do you think this is an indication of anything?
@lillyJ678564 i think it does! if you don’t have it, it doesn’t necessarily mean rejection but if you DO have it then there’s like a 95-99% chance you’ve gotten in. i stalked past threads like crazy and everyone except one person over the past 3 or 4 years got accepted when they had the FA change. i’m pretty sure that one person was either lying or confused about what the change actually looked like though.
so yeah, the FA change seems like the most reliable indicator of acceptance!
I just received the FA change!!! I hope this is a good sign. (Maybe they read this blog and sensed my frustration.)

So my mobile albert just let me edit the widgets. I’m really hoping I’m not grasping at straws. I was only able to have two a few hours ago. Now I have 6. Though application status says “You do not have any applications at this time.”
@bk4567 wait, I already have the NYU Mobile app, but how do you edit the widgets?
@cjeong98 I know if you go on the mobile website on your browser there’s an option titled “edit my widgets” right under Holds and to do
