@FortyNights I’m on the same boat as you. Yeah, I can’t authorize OrgSync too, but even some people who got accepted couldn’t log on to Orgsync, so I wouldn’t depend on it as a strong indicator of getting accepted. Our best bet would probably be an FA change, as that seems to be highly correlated to acceptance.
Also, I heard from someone that Stern typically releases their decisions on Fridays, so maybe this upcoming Friday will be the day.
I believe that you can only apply for housing after you have been officially accepted, so it’s not too late to apply, but the catch is that transfers are NOT guaranteed housing and it is very limited (and unlikely).
Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, I was unable to apply for FA, so I won’t see any changes there lol. Do you think they considered that when making the decision? I have a sizable college fund and will take out the difference in loans, but I did not communicate that to the financial aid or admissions office. FA of course does help, but the university is less than generous in their aid packages anyway
@FortyNights Don’t count on my word too much, but I believe that even if you didn’t apply for FA there can still be a FA change on Albert. Also, regardless of whether you applied, I do think they at least give out very substantial amounts of grants and loans.
I’m just praying I get into Stern because tbh I will happily go into debt if I do get in that school lol
Waiting on NYU is absolutely nerve-racking. I applied as a Stern Transfer since January and still no word yet. Besides everything being checked off on Albert there has been no other change, I really do hope I get in but then again affording it would be another issue. :((
Tisch hasn’t released decisions yet. There is one transfer for Tisch Drama on the FB Accepted Transfers page but I haven’t seen a single other person who’s heard back yet.
What Department of tisch are you applying into? @hopefullynyu2020
@nyu37673 I’ve called three times in the last week. Decisions are released on a rolling basis and should be complete by end of May. Most should be released by the 16th, but, there is no set (finite) date. If you don’t hear back by the end of the month you can call and see what’s going on.
@FortyNights not sure if you’re referring to me or just speaking in general, but I definitely never felt entitled to an acceptance. Moreso just surprised considering the other places I got into and looking for any ways to improve myself as an applicant. And heck, who else am I supposed to share my disappointment with?
@annadragon I’m talking about Tisch Drama.
Bc Tisch film stats in the summer session they are always first from Tisch to be released. Acting majors haven’t heard back.
just got an email asking for an interview…but I don’t think I can make it because I have to take finals and have to travel internationally right after that. Would it hurt my chance to get in?? Well…def… so hopeless.
