Tandon engineer @nyu37673
Did u also get an interview?
haha i applied for tisch so completely different! just wanted to see what and where people were hearing from! congrats though!
for tisch film transfers and anyone else starting in the summer: our immunization forms are due on monday may 15th!
the notification was sent to my NYU email and it says this:
"New York State Public Health Law 2165 and 2167 and/or New York University require all students (graduate, undergraduate and transfers) taking six or more credits in a degree-granting institution to provide proof of immunity to measles, mumps and rubella and completion of the meningitis response form. Timely completion of these requirements ensures that your transition to NYU is smooth.
Summer Deadline for Submission of Health Requirements is May 15, 2017."
Financial Aid forever not available.
@cjeong98 any updates?
Rejected to Penn first. BC yesterday. NYU is the only remaining decision. Still can’t log into OrgSync, so it’s not looking so good lol. However, still hopeful.
@1college123 no, not yet
@1college123 Do you have any changes?
I feel like we’re not going to hear anything until the 16th… Hope I’m wrong though!
What’s the highest amount of financial aid anyone on this thread has ever gotten
What I’m afraid of is that those that havent heard back are on the unannounced unofficial “waitlist”, and if we if there are no spaces available by 16th may we’ll get a mass rejection letter :(((((. I don’t mean to sound pessimistic but I’m gradually losing hope every day. All the best everyone!
@annadragon Hey, I don’t mean to be bother but do you mind taking a look at my “Why NYU” supplement? I know it has already been submitted but i just want an extra opinion to be certain. It’s okay if you don’t have the time! Don’t feel like you have to!
When I called the representatives they still said they had a large amount of transfer spots left.
Be hopeful! Another wave of decisions is coming soon
@laurbeaar95 that’s great news!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but only one Stern applicant in this entire thread has received an acceptance, let alone a decision. Saying that if you’re haven’t heard back by the 16th, then you will get rejected is mostly misinformation. Perhaps if you applied for a major in which many decisions have already been released, then time is not on your side. However, many, if not most Stern applicants have yet to hear back. It’s mostly dependent on major/school at this time.
These are only my observations.
@FortyNights yeah, what you said totally makes sense and is probably true. I applied to Stern as well, and I am still waiting on my decision. One thing to note though is that Stern, to begin with, is one of NYU’s most competitive and hardest schools to get in to, and most likely there are less spots for transfers, especially external transfers. I’m just worried that there space is limited and they don’t have any more room for transfers like us… Hope good things happen in the next few days or soon
Duly noted. Do you know how many spots are allotted to Stern external transfer applicants?
@FortyNights I was wondering the same, so I emailed the Admissions Office like three weeks ago, and they were very confidential about specific statistics, and just strictly stated that it is very competitive and also the acceptance rate was only 1% (from last year)! I couldn’t believe it! Also, in the email, I don’t know if it was just who I was talking to, but their tone was very discouraging because they said that your best bet is to look into other options.
I just really want to get into Stern ahhh
Hi! I’m new to this thread, has anyone heard at all from Tisch School of Drama yet? If not, have any acting applicants had any FA changes or anything? Thanks and good luck to everyone!!
