With Stern’s transfer acceptance rate, it is best to look into other options even before applying. I wouldn’t let the admission’s office discourage you. They’re probably being inundated with calls from worrying applicants and tell everyone the same thing. The odds are clearly against all of us, as they should be, but anything can happen.
@ordinateur i applied for tisch drama! Haven’t gotten a decision, but I have had changes on my albert akd orgsync. Not a FA change. I didnt apply for FA so not depending on that change! Did you have it? When did it happen?
@NYUhopeful1234 I didn’t apply for FA either so we’re in the same boat there! What’s orgsync? I’m just trying to figure out if they’re close to releasing decisions or not, because it seems as if people start seeing changes about 3 days ahead of decisions!

I dont think changes matter besides the FA and housing. For orgosync i think it’s just glitchy. I even got some volunteer hours given to me and I have never attended a single event.
did anyone have any event changes that led to acceptance? if so, what were the changes?

@Klow7 I applied to Meyers as well. I think one person only received a response for Meyers on this thread, not sure though.

@acceptmepls123 nope it doesnt, If you played around with housing, you will get student tab. Yes, everyone can access housing.

@Klow7 and @mpm1201 …I got admitted into Rory Meyers School of Nursing on Tuesday 05/09/2017. Had to clear up a selective service issue with the financial aid office. Thats done done so waiting to have my finanacial aid package sometime next week then I can make my decision to attend. I already got in with full rides @ University of North Carolina at Chapel hill, University Of Virginia, University Of Wisconsin Madison and a few others with great financial aid packages. Got my heart set on being a " Tar Heel ", unless I get a free ride from NYU which is highly unlikely as NYU rarely give very good financial aid packages.
@cjeong98 @FortyNights here’s the scoop on Stern: they typically have spots for 0-25 transfers with 1,000+ applicants, depending on the year. Yes, sometimes zero, because they don’t have any space for transfers unless someone drops from Stern (and let’s be honest, that doesn’t happen very often).
@SwellyBelly yeah I already know what I have gotten myself into, and I don’t really have high expectations or hopes. It’s just nice to hold on to the possibility of it happening. Honestly, I don’t even know at this point… I just hope that this year is the anomaly for Stern, and that there are more spots available than previous years.
