Stern applicant here…checklist finally disappeared, i’m guessing there will be a wave of decisions today. btw does anybody know if there is an appeal process for admission decisions? the website doesn’t say much

@99suhjw I submitted 4

I hope so, however, my checklist for Stern disappeared way back, like at least a month ago, still havent heard back from them.

im refreshing this page every hour…

@raejordan I was accepted for music business!

In HS I did IB, in which I got 35 and in college (The New School) my GPA was a 3.94.
I am an international student, so no financial aid, and I applied with 31 credits.

I had 6 IB subjects, Deans list, music therapy startup, interned at record labels, vocal training and a few other extra circulars.

I also was a member and manager of the people of colour organisation

Does anyone have any sort of news? The waiting is proving to be unbearable

Yeah sure! I have a collective GPA of 3.80, and I think I also got all A’s this semester so that should bump it up a bit more too.

I go to a small liberal arts school that’s private so no honor societies and stuff like that, but I am the president of a club and a member in Model UN.

I think I was just a good fit for Cinematic Studies, cuz I’m really into film and I have a few sample works etc to show

Oh my god dude congratulations!! I wanted to apply for that but low-key was worried i couldn’t get in, I’m in Cinematic Studies at CAS

do y’all know if we are required to make tuition payments if we submit our deposit (like, could i withdraw if classes are online)? i would think not, but that check box on the portal scares me.

My daughter was admitted as Tisch Dance major transfer but missed the deadline for submitting the CSS due to when she planned on doing it instead Covid hit ( she was in NYC) and having to quickly pack and rush home to be quarantined without internet, so zero financial aid. She did get it in but it was late. Also didn’t show up on her checklist till 2 weeks after deadline. Financial Aid will not allow an appeal based on circumstances. What I did find interesting was that Fin aid told me that the max they provide is $8500 to transfers first year as transfer and between 1500-3000 per year after that ( if qualified and he kept stressing that many are not qualified). Just checking in here if that is accurate and what others are hearing?

@JRPdance. I was offered a total of $7,000 ($4k CAS scholarship and $3k in work study). That was with submitting the CSS profile. My EFC is around $10k.

When you guys talk about your checklists disappearing, are you talking about the financial aid checklist or the application material one? Because my application material checklist has been gone for the longest time but my financial aid checklist is still there

Thanks for responding. I had read that work studies are hard to get. Did you accept?

Anyone here who committed to Tisch Film & TV?

@indyextramusic Same with me! Usually when you’re about to get your decision, both checklists disappear.

ah got it. Thank u! @jaden29
