Applied ED to Tisch Film
31 on ACT (but my sub scores were eng: 35 math:33 reading:32 and science: 25! uggh) do you think they consider sub scores? I don’t think they’d mind so much if I was bad at science, considering I’m going into film.
4.6ish gpa (top 5% of my class)
my extracurriculars are kind of blah, but I think my portfolio is pretty good
AP Euro: 5
AP US: 5
AP English Comp: 4

I applied ED to Stern, and I think we get our decisions by e-mail on December 15 (41 days, 4 hours, 57 minutes, and 30 seconds lol)

Guys, only my application is downloaded, supplements, payments and school forms are only indicating “completed”.

Is it ok? Anyone in the same situation?

lennin/ Same here

Mine are the same. Maybe for supplements and school forms, it’s not until they get to your application that they are downloaded? That’s my guess.

Yeah I applied RD yesterday and it only says the app was downloaded.

Applied ED to CAS, these 36 days can’t go by fast enough. Anyone else freakin out?

YES!
i just want that day to be here already.

Ugh I know. I sent in my application on the 21st and ever since then I’ve just been researching scholarships just trying to keep my mind off of NYU! It’s been somewhat successful, but the days still seem to be dragging on just waiting for that email…

Either Gallatin or CAS RD
I’ll make a decision after I finish my essays…

3.5 U/W 3.7-8 W
6-7 APS
ACT - I have in the high 20s right now (27-29) hoping to get 30+ in December.
SAT IIs - Getting results later this month… Took Chinese, Physics, and Math II. Hoping to get 700+ in all! If not, then retake in December.
ECS - They show what my passions are, but I don’t have much leadership roles… I only have one leadership position =/

I just submitted my Common App RD to CAS. I’ve heard that NYU doesn’t typically send out RD admission decisions until later (i.e. closer to April). Does anyone know if this is true?

That is true. RD decisions only come out in April - you applied very early; most RD applicant send their apps in December. Good luck!

Thanks, Audrey. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see!

One month until decision emails are sent out! I’m excited to hear about all of our acceptances :)

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I should do. I logged into NYUAlbert for the first time today (the site that lets you check the application status), and it said that my application fee is in, but that they are missing my transcripts (though I think my GC sent them in a day or two ago) and my standardized test scores. I know I sent them in both my SAT and ACT as score reports when I first took them.

Should I resend them, or should I contact NYU?

I’m so nervous!
22 days. Eep!

And Charles, they’re slow to update. I had my audition last Sat and they haven’t checked it off yet.
They also say they don’t have my transcript but I sent that too.
Don’t worry about it.

Even though what kelryry said is true, the SAT/ACT scores not being in might be something to worry about. If you took them at any time before the November test date, Albert should say you have them. The max time Albert runs behind is about a week…so if you sent your scores in (for any test other than November - those scores won’t be out yet) then I would contact the school and see what they say as far as resending them goes.

I would contact them just to be safe…but they are slow. I finished my application in mid-September, and they didn’t update Albert to show that they had my transcript until about 6 weeks later. I was extremely paranoid about it so my dad had to keep calling them until they updated it :P

CharlesCO,

I just want to add that RD applicants do generally receive their decision in April. However, if you are one of the fortunate ones to be chosen for one of the scholarships, the notification comes earlier. My son received notice of his acceptance and his $100,000 scholarship (for 4 years) on March 11, 2010.
