[ *] SAT IIs: N/A
[ *] GPA (UW): 3.85
[ *] GPA (W): My school doesn’t weight.
[ *] Rank: My school doesn’t rank, either. But if I had to guess it would probably be around 60/450.
[ *] Leadership Positions: Committee leader in FBLA, Interact, and StuCo. Tutored students failing English for Honor Society. Attended a leadership academy for three summers. I did a lot of tutoring for special ed and underprivileged kids.
[ *] Awards/Honors: Three time FBLA district champion, two time FBLA state champion, and two time FBLA national qualifier, National Forensics League letter, academic letter, and some other stuff I’m forgetting.
[ *] Other Extra-curricular: I interned at a law office over the summer and I’m currently interning for a community school in my town. Here, I do a lot of work, write grants, etc. I want to do inner-city education reform, so this was a big deal. I’m also a varsity member of debate with strong successes, and I’m in a myriad of different clubs.
[ /list][ b]Subjective:[ /b][ list]
[ *] Essays: I applied to 12 colleges and wrote ~30 essays, and my NYU essay was by far my least favorite. I didn’t love the prompt and just wasn’t feeling it. But I guess it was good enough!
[ *] Teacher Recs: Strong, I had my debate coach, a tutoring supervisor, and my favorite teacher write one.
[ *] Counselor Rec: Strong, my academic resume is good, I know my counselor really well, and a lot of the kids at my school are underachievers, so my counselor was able to write a good recommendation.
[ *] Hooks (if any): I am really dedicated to doing policy reform in inner-city schools, and I’ve done a lot of work to make that happen. Internships, research, etc. This was all of my own accord and I made my own opportunities.
[ /list][ b]Location/Person:[ /b][ list]

[ *] Financial Aid information (see description): I haven’t gotten it yet.

[ /list][ b]Other Statements:[ /b][ list]
[ *] Other Factors: Not really any!
[ *] Why do you think you were accepted/rejected? Probably the inner-city school stuff, my academics are pretty par-for-the-course.
[ *] General Comments: London is exciting, and if I get good financial aid we’ll see what happens! I was also accepted to American with good financial aid, so that’s a possibility. I’m excited to make the decision!
