Nyu lsp

When I go on the Albert system, it gives me the option of accepting or denying the referral. If I deny the offer, will the CAS review my application again, or will I just miss out on the opportunity of going there at all?

krfan,

This is it. Your rejection of LSP means you will not be attending NYU as a freshman for 2011-2012.

I might add a small minority (of ONE PERSON that I have personally have read of here in this forum) MIGHT be referred from LSP to CAS before the fall. However, the chance is probably remote unless you have a lot of CAS admits rejecting NYU CAS. Then maybe you would be referred to CAS if you are high up on their alternate/ “wait” list.

Does NYU even waitlist, or are all the borderline applicants just admitted to LSP?

I got into LSP to but all my referral options are either london paris shanghai or florence I thought we had a choice whether to study abroad or not. This really sucks 'cause I want to study in NYC

You’ll still be able to study in NYC…just not next year. But the next 3 years you will. And everyone I’ve ever spoken to who studied abroad with NYU absolutely loved it. So I wouldn’t write it off just because of that.

@SpringAwakening have you spoken with anyone who’s done LSP in Paris?

@Saad4680 are you an international student? because I think that international students who were admitted to LSP are only given the option to choose one of the abroad sites for their freshman year. it’s unfortunate, but you’d still get to study in NYC eventually!

emmacatherine29 - My roommate’s cousin did LSP in Paris freshman year. He and all his friends loved it. Her cousin loved it so much he’s actually trying to transfer to a French university.

I love Paris too, but I would give NYU Florence some thought. My writing professor (who spent a few years teaching there) said our campus in Florence is one of the most beautiful pieces of property in Europe. The land and all the buildings were supposed to be donated to Oxford way back when, but somehow NYU managed to shanghai it for themselves. Very typical of us ;)
