@CaptainRonnie - last year the WL didn’t move much but the years before that it did. Average is really hard to calculate with schools getting huge increases of applications each year. If NYU overestimated their “yield”, the WL will move.
straight out rejected. I have legacy (my mom went for undergrad) and we donate money from time to time. Ive had 3 internships, 200 hospital hours, a high school honors program, 1.5 years at first aid squad, Vice President of a club, active member of 2 school clubs, my SAT was definitely above average. Confused.
Anyone else receive $0 from the school? What’s the best way to try to appeal this?

Re waitlist. NYU dropped the number of admits by a few thousand (yes) vs past couple of years. Some of that willl be due to higher ED intake (I haven’t seen the number for ED admits anywhere?) but it might also be good news for the waitlist.
Lots of good applicants got rejected. You guys will shine wherever you end up.

[ b]Why you think you were accepted/not accepted and general comments: honestly not quite sure why NYU over other schools with the same acceptance rates I guess they thought I was a good fit! Best of luck to any future applicants you guys got this!
It has been a really strange year for admissions in general, from what I’m hearing. There is a place for you to shine, and an opportunity for transfer. The price tag is crazy, anyway…
Is there a group chat or anything for admitted students? If so can someone leave a link?
