@mg2001 My daughter got accepted to Tisch too! How do we know what studio we are in we can’t seem to find it?
@bbeft13 Educational Theatre! Partly because I missed the deadline to submit things for music education or vocal performance, and thought I could write the strongest “why nyu” essay about their department (which is a really amazing program by the way)
My is in at Tisch too! @collegetheatremajormom I think we find out studio assignments in a week or two.
Left out the letter “D” as in my D is in…sigh! Crazy process but coming down to the final stretch!

I have taken 10 AP classes total (20 semesters worth) and have taken one honors class (Pre-Calc Honors). I have pretty good ECs: four years sport including varsity captain, charity league for six years, intern at a dermatology office for two years, intern at a women’s health center for two years, and I worked for four years as a part-time nanny to two families. My essays were pretty solid so probably 8/10 if I’m being critical.
I really want to go to NYU, but am hesitant to write an essay in the response section. I don’t have any new accomplishments, but there is one event that really shattered my senior year. This year, I was diagnosed with a kidney disease that will impact me for the rest of my life and had to get surgery for it. I missed a month of school and I originally thought I wasn’t going to be able to attend college in the fall because of it. However, I have been able to keep all As senior year despite everything. I really want to go to NYU and this feels like a second chance. This event isn’t really an accomplishment or an award, but I am still curious if I should write about it. I also don’t know how long the essay portion should be. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 
Does anyone know how to go about filing a financial aid appeal ?? NYU has been my dream school for years but I definitely cannot afford to pay full tuition

My D got accepted to Tisch, but there is no information about the major. How do we check which major she got accepted?
got into lsp w 34 act, gpa weighted 4.18!!! I am ecstatic but I definitely cannot afford full tuition like almost everyone who applies. It’s honestly disheartening knowing that I most likely wont attend my dream school because of the extraordinary tuition price and lack of any merit aid whatsoever. Anyone else on the same boat?
