NYU SCPS?

not a lot of info is online about NYU scps. Has anybody gotten accepted to the school that can tell me all about it? was it hard to get into? how do you think you got in?
P.S I’m interested in the sports management program.

There seem to be three categories and I think you might be interested in the Boost program?

My daughter did the Career Edge program in July 2014 so I can comment on that: http://www.sps.nyu.edu/academics/hsacademy/summer-programs/career-edge/courses.html

We worked with Annmarie in the office and she is competent. The administration in general, was competent, although there was some disorganization with the evening events.

I think this is more of a “fun” program to explore NYC rather than highly academic, although the classes were good. She wanted to visit NYC (we are from CA) and she had a total blast. The program allows 1-4 week stays and 2 weeks was good for her because of jet lag the first week. She lived in Founders Hall. She took digital filmmaking and some personal skills/marketing yourself class and thought they were very good. One complaint was that the classes end at 5:00 and the evening activities begin at 5:30 so there wasn’t much time to eat dinner - sometimes she missed dinner and had to eat after, late at night. But there is a Walgreen’s around the corner which offers packaged food and there was an app that delivers food. The other huge complaint was that the map of campus from Founder’s Hall was a pathetic photocopy and she got lost the first day because the map was unreadable due to the poor photocopy. Other than that, I suppose it depends on the kids in the program which could make it fun or not. The kids she met seemed to want to socialize - no cliques. There is an email prior to the week which allows selection of evening activities - first come, first served basis. She went to a Broadway play, Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State Bldg., Central Park, 9/11 Memorial, baseball game, used the subway, and all the fun NYC tourist things. Our family has high expectations, and we highly recommend this program. If more questions, message me.
