NYU Shanghai

@mchui33 who interviewed you ?
and my interviewer also asked the same questions from me, was it Chanel Lui ?
Btw I’m from Pakistan and have applied to NYUSH as my first choice campus

I think that all the interviewers asked the same basic questions. Mine asked very similar questions, and it seemed like she had a list of questions to ask me.

mine didn’t really ask that kind of questions… she was just like “what club do you think you will start in NYU SH” and “what do your parents think of you applying to SH”

Yeah, my interviewer asked those too.

Hey, so to clarify - has anyone on here who applied to Shanghai had their financial aid message change? Was Shanghai your first choice?

About the people NYU is seeking for - Ms.Wilkins told me that they are looking for people that want to change the world and are brave. At least it was something I mentioned and she immediately supported this idea and literally said YES WE ARE LOOKING FOR THIS KIND OF PEOPLE.
so, are you guys excited? only couple days left.

Very excited!
It’s a good then that when she asked me if there was one thing I could change in the world, what would it be? And I promptly said- racial profiling.
I’m starting to doubt my other interview answers though.

Me too. I think it’s normal. All of us are probably worried. Anyway, I hope at least 1 of us will be accepted!
I am starting to be excited and nervous at the same time.

Well, all I have to say is that my interviewer didn’t say anything nearly as encouraging as implying that you are the right fit for Shanghai.
She also didn’t ask what I would change in the world.

One? I’m hoping more.
Though we have no way to assess the competition for NYU Shanghai, at this point it could be anything and our estimations and guesses could be a far cry from the real situation here. This is so frustrating!

98 more hours

I hate waiting until friday. No FA change either.

shanghai is worth all the smog and waiting (ˉ﹃ˉ)

My FA just changed, even though it’s nothing, it changed. First choice - Shanghai.

well, who knows maybe it means something.
I get soooo frustrated. Don’t know why but kinda feel like I am going to be rejected.
By the way, Ms. Wilkins told me that everyone will be emailed either on December 15th or before.

The NYU Admissions blog says that they’re gonna start sending out decisions by 9 am EST on the 13th.
Btw, did yours change too?

nope, mine didn’t change :(

I’m from Hong Kong, and my interviewer was Chanel. I think what NYU Shanghai wants is a diverse student background (geographically) and people that really want to be in Shanghai. I was just removed by my admissions officer on Skype as well haha. Good luck to everybody in these couple of days!

Hey guys,
i am a freshman here at NYUSH.

if you want to know anything about student life or shanghai in general, let me know.
unfortunately, i have no idea about the admissions process for class of 2018, but good luck y’all.

My FA just changed. I know it doesn’t guarantee anything but… gives me hope :)

@anuragr hey there! so my messages box doesn’t work properly.
well, some people say that everyone’s FA was supposed to change eventually. However, I have concerns about kids who had change in November. kind of too early for it I guess.

@marinozai my FA changed last night. I thought it never going to happen

By the way, idk if you guys guessed but I’m international student from Russia.
