I am from pakistan and I just got NYU Shnagai offer! Anyone else got this early offer? Just wanted to know any idea how much financial aid NYU Shnagai gives? On what criteria? any past applicants aid and their credentials?
I have 2050 SAt 1 and 2330 SAt 2…Pretty good EC and academic record! any guesses for my aid package…i can pay 5K per year
Um cancershines did you fill out a CSS Profile for Financial Aid? Because if not, I hate to break it to you, but you will be ineligible for financial aid.
As for a merit scholarship which you seem to be kind of confusing FA with, that would have been given to you at the time of admission, so if they didn’t already tell you in your admissions email/letter that you are getting one then you won’t.
Just a heads up, NYU is generally known as being a pretty stingy school when it comes to financial aid and especially for international applicants. (I am an international applicant myself).
Hope you filled out the CSS form and they offer you a generous FA package.
Also side note, how are you ranking your SAT subject test out of 2400? Are you just combining three seperate subject results?
@versaysea hey! Nice to hear back from you. Actually on my early write/acceptance. Letter they said that I will be given official aid letter n admission on 1st April. They are just notifying me earlier n asking to come to admitted students weekend which is fully funded. I was just concerned whether I can get a full ride or not n whether nyu Shangai completes full demonstrated need of admitted applicants. Scholarship will be announced that time in official RD decision too! I took three SAT subject bio 800 chem 790 n maths2 740. Were u accepted too?
Right, but did you fill out a CSS Profile? Without the CSS profile you are ineligible for ANY financial aid. Merit scholarships are seperate.
