Congrats! I knew you would get, you are so bright and talented. Good job!

@josieboux what time did you find out?

I got mine right after eight.

Is anyone else in the situation where they need to drop classes/ housing at their current school pronto in the case they get into NYU, but still haven’t heard back? I don’t know what to do because I’ve already emailed admissions once :/

Has anyone from Steinhardt found out their decisions yet!? Still extremely nervous! But big congrats to everyone who got in!

Got into Steinhardt’s art program a little after 8 today. Don’t loose hope. I get the impression they still are deciding after calling admissions yesterday.

@ccusimtransfer I found out right at 8 this morning
@PSC2IVY Thanks, you too!
@Nyupleasesenpai Yes, I got accepted to the Steinhardt School of Global Public Health. Good luck to you!

@Jackyt thanks for that! It’s just that I apllied for their psychology/ human development major and am a freshman applicant, so I’m a little giddy haha

@josieboux What were your stats…I applied for the same program but they keep misplacing my transcripts and I havent heard anything yet

@Tanya9595
I honestly don’t know my HS GPA - probably around 3.8/3.9
Bronze/Silver Award Girl Scouts/other leadership positions in community service organizations
Studied Abroad for a year of HS
Hamilton College 1st semester freshman
SAT: 2180
Hope that helps!

question for those accepted: did your FA page change before the acceptance? If so, what was that?

Mine changed afterwards. I think they post the decisions right after they choose to admit you and do everything else afterwards. They aren’t really any hints or clues that you’ve been admitted before it happens. Hope you get in :-D

@PSC2IVY , was the scholarship from a private establishment or through NYU? Also do you mind sharing whether you have any hooks, etc. for scholarships?

Still haven’t seen any financial aid news. It’s killing me! Anyone else not get their financial aid information yet?

@Paintist - A private establishment. The only hook I had was that I came from a disadvantaged/minority socioeconomic background that qualified me for the scholarship and I wouldn’t necessarily call it a hook as much as an obstacle. One thing that may have helped me is that I had a very good story (dropped out of a special education school at 15, was homeless for some time, got my GED at 16, and finished my A.A. with a 3.95 at 18), the only other community college students who i know that got in were students who attended two-year schools that had articulation agreements with NYU (usually community colleges in the city).

I would love to hear the stories of other community college students who got in though.

Hi guys! Any Stern people here? I know that there isn’t any spring transfer for Stern. I’m applying of fall 2015 for NYU Stern, and I just wanted to know if you guys think it will help my application if I took a January class at Stern? I know it is possible for me to take it as a non-NYU but I’m just curios if anyone did this?

Hey PSC2IVY, thanks for sharing, that was helpful. So did you get any financial aid information from NYU yet?

I’m also a CC transfer admit from out of state. I came from a disadvantaged situation as well for multiple reasons. Did not finish my associate’s, 4.0, GED and no extracurriculars outside of jobs.

Huh, awesome @Paintist what school did you apply/get into?

I got accepted!!! so happy!!! good luck to everyone! and congrats to those who also got accepted!
I was a cc transfer so I was very pleased!

Can anyone please give me more info on the financial aid? thanks in advance!

Spring transfer can’t do J-Session. I just got the news. Bummer!
