NYU Spring Transfer 2020

@harvestsnaps on the nyu housing page it says “New spring transfer students will be guaranteed space on campus”. When you look at the housing rates for 2019-2020 it shows 100% as the “approx % of spaces in hall” for UHall. and i have a friend who’s an RA at UHall and she told me nyu is making it a spring transfer specific dorm for spring 2020 transfers.

My housing also shows fall 2019

@cas7906 does it also show fall 2020?

@loverose4565

I have on NYU Home Housing Forms:

‘Academic Year 2019-2020’
‘January 2020’
‘Spring 2020’
‘Summer 2020’

Each have location of NYU New York City. But ‘January 2020’ has both NYU Abu Dhabi (didn’t apply there) and NYU New York City.

Regarding this and what you said and based on other people’s posts, I’m going to be objective and honest… I could be wrong but I’m going to share what I think and I hope it helps:

I don’t think fall 2019 would be an indicator since everyone in this forum and all other applicants and myself are all in the fall 2019 semester at our current/Non-NYU college/university. That’s why we are all transfer students.

Now, with @loverose4565 getting a Fall 2020 housing change, that could be a possible indicator of admission. Spring 2020 and Fall 2020 and beyond would be your semesters (if you are accepted). But, it’s weird that we both didn’t apply for housing in the first place. And you have that change but have ‘member student’ on NYU Zoom. I don’t have the housing change but have ‘member-affiliate’ in NYU Zoom. I said in one of my posts that based on the forum (only evidence we can use unless more people join and chime in), someone got an offer of acceptance with ‘member-affiliate’, anyone with ‘member’ has got rejected, and ‘member-student’ hasn’t been linked to rejection nor acceptance but is the status for current students not so much applicants. And with @hilareolas and I giving good possible reasons why it wouldn’t apply for applicants as an indicator of acceptance (mentioned in a few recent posts ago).

At this point, however, I’m not sure what to believe as possible signs. After all, some people in past forums don’t get any signs but still got accepted. I think it’s best to try to endure the wait, and be prepared for whatever the decision is, no matter how much effort these two would take.

Tomorrow may be Decision Day for us (and others). I honestly hope we both get accepted. If not, we, and anyone that works hard for an aspiring dream, will truly be great and successful regardless.

Hope that helps @loverose4565 and everyone here. Enjoy ya night everyone and good luck with finals.

I applied to Gallatin btw @loverose4565

@GreatnessIsSaid if you have the “Academic Year 2019-2020” that means you are accepted because I saw the exact same thing for my friend who currently attending NYU.

Yep i have fall 19 and fall 20

@loverose4565

I hope that’s the case but I think it’s wise to wait for the official decision before I react.

@GreatnessIsSaid I’m seeing “Fall 2019,” “J-Term 2020,” “Spring 2020,” “Summer 2020,” and “Fall 2020.”

so me @hilareolas @cas7906 are on the same page lol

Fingers crossed. Ive already prepared for the worst outcome

Hi! Just joined the forum but I have been following along for a while now.

@GreatnessIsSaid You are right about “enduring the wait and being prepared for whatever the decision is.” Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. I really want NYU but hey, whatever happens, happens. I also don’t think Fall 19 means anything. Fall 20 might.

Btw, @loverose4565 might be right about you getting accepted. One of my close friends also goes to NYU, and has the same ‘Academic Year 2019-2020’, If so, congrats in advance (even though you want to save your reaction til official time, I still congratulate you lol).

Hope decisions are tomorrow. Ughh…

@GreatnessIsSaid yup I was able to predict that my friend got in with the same changes and he did get in the next day. Congrats in advance @GreatnessIsSaid. You deserve this :smile:

Update: my financial aid link on albert now says:
2020/New York University/Award access not available.
These are all in separate columns. Is that a good sign? It definitely wasn’t there before

@throwawaynyu that means you are in for sure!!! Also what does ur housing show?
