NYU Stern Chance me please!

Hi all! I really want to go to NYU Stern, and I would really appreciate it if you could chance me!

I’m gonna cut right to it

Only 1 year of world language because I took AP chinese Freshmen year

Excel mostly in math. Currently taking AP Calc BC senior year

Personal Background:

Asian American
Male

I’ve lived in China for 5 years to study at a public school. It was a great experience for me. I hope it would play a role in my admission process since NYU loves diversity.

I can speak, read, write chinese fluently.

EC:

Executive Board Treasurer of Student Council (Student Council is a huge deal at our school)
I got 2 recs from advisors.

Secretary of JSA
Secretary of Chess Club (We have consistently won first place in states)
Ultimate Frisbee (Consistently won states and have placed top 5 in nationals)

I have an art portfolio, which in my most humble opinion is rather nice.

Work Experience:

I have interned at a law firm before. To clarify, this was a legit job. it wasnt one of those, pick up phone calls or fax some papers. I had legit duties. I filed H-1B statuses and completed over 30 cases and raised over 10,000 dollars for the company.
(I got recs from the boss and the employees)

I also interned at an international computer company. I worked with marketing people and got to manage the shipments.
(I got a rec from the boss as well)

My gpa got ruined freshmen year due to my lack of english skills after studying in china for 5 years. However, I hope my test scores and work experience and ECs make up for it.

I’m planning to ED1 to NYU.

Chance me please! Ill chance you back! This means a lot to me! Any suggestions would be great as well!

Thank you so so much!

You are in a tough situation to chance, your ECs and scores are great, but your GPA is horrible for NYU and you have one year of a foreign language (you should have started a new language sophomore year or taken two languages freshman year then continued with one). I think it is worth applying, though know you are not the strongest of applicants due to the GPA.

Thanks for the reply! I forgot to mention that I started french my sophomore year! Would it help that Im getting all As and taking even tougher classes this year? I appreciate the help!

Bump! Please help! Id really really appreciate it! I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
