I recently got accepted to both NYU Stern and Yale for undergraduate enrollment in the fall. Based on my circumstances, attending Stern would be tuition free and I would only pay for room and board, and attending Yale would be almost full tuition. I am having a very hard time weighing the pros and cons of each since they seem to match in importance. I am not 100% set on doing business but I would do it if I went to Stern; in other words, it is a very very likely and viable option even if I went to Yale. Please help!
HOW? Pick Stern, the scholarship is phenomenal and it has good connections to NYC companies
Room & Board at NYU runs you $18156. Adding books, transportation and a few hundred bucks per month for fun might be another $5k. So you’re at about $23k per year for NYU Stern.
Yale’s COA is about $73k.
Even if it wasn’t Stern into which you were admitted, I wouldn’t pay $200,000 more for Yale than for NYU, unless I hated NYU. Assuming you don’t hate NYU, I recommend it. $200k is a lot of money.
