I have done a lot of research on studying abroad while at NYU. From my understanding, there are NYU institutes in places like London, Paris, etc. and there are some alternate programs that are with affiliated schools in say, Dublin and other foreign places that I can’t remember at the moment What I am wondering is if you can study abroad at schools that aren’t the NYU institutes or those other affiliated schools? I’d love to study abroad at the University of Edinburgh, but that’s not directly listed as an option on the NYU study abroad website. So is it possible to still take your own path for studying abroad and have credits properly transferred, etc?

Ask your student adviser; they’ll have all the specifics about transfer credits!

I’m not currently attending NYU, though I’m considering applying. However, a huge deciding factor for me is whether or not I could study abroad at schools that aren’t the NYU institutes or their affiliated schools. I think I’m looking for a more general answer. Thanks for your response though! :)
