NYU tisch film & TV

i am applying to Tisch film for the class of 2018. one of the 4 part creative submission goes like

Part 2. Leadership and Collaboration Anecdote - Leadership and collaboration are important ingredients for creating successful media projects. In three hundred words or less (no more than one page, double-spaced), describe an experience in which you exercised leadership and/or took part in a productive collaboration. We’re interested in both your insights into these issues and your ability to tell an engaging short story. (Save as a pdf and upload to tischfilmandtv.slideroom.com.)

i have written 411 words, double spaced, times new roman but it is 1 page. the problem is do i have to reduce it to 300 hundred word or it is fine?

thank you

If they gave you a word limit, I would respect that. Otherwise, the ending may not be read. It also shows the ability to follow directions Perhaps part of the exercise is to demonstrate how you tell an engaging anecdote in a well-written but concise style. I’d follow the word limit.

I have a question about part 4 of the application for film and television. I chose option letter C. which is to send in 10 to 15 pictures that tell a story. I am confused if it means that these 10 photos have to tell one story or if each photo can tell a different story. Help!!

one story. you can find some examples on youtube.
