NYU-Tisch for Film - Do they continue their focus on commercially successful film?

A friend of mine attended Tisch about 20 years ago. She was very pleased that each professorial critique of a project included evaluation of whether the project would be commercially successful.

Given how art schools have gravitated to “post modern” negativity and intellectualism, does anyone know what Tisch does today? Have they kept that focus on film work that is successful - whether in Hollywood or at the big festivals?

Our experience has been that film, in many schools, is a theoretical or abstract idea. But my son would like a “real film” school that gives a solid foundation for the larger market of film.
