NYU Tisch Photography Portfolio

Hi, I am a junior in high school, and I’m planning on applying to NYU Tisch soon. I’ve seen other people’s photography portfolios, and they of course are artistic and beautiful, very creative. I really want to do sports photography though, preferably football because those are my best photos. Would NYU Tisch be a good place to pursue sports photography, or should I look elsewhere?

Tisch really isn’t geared toward Sports Photography. Most Universities with either a photography program or art schools, will teach you first and foremost art and fundamental photography. You may be able to build a portfolio in Sports Photography by attending a school with sports teams and to either volunteer or freelance photography for your team. NYU has no sport teams.
