NYU Transfer

Hey, I am a current freshman at NYU and am looking to transfer for fall 2010 to UC Berkeley, UCLA, Pomona, or Claremont McKenna. I was wondering if someone could offer their insight on the reality of being accepted to any of these schools. I would be applying as a studio art major. Thanks!

High School Stats:

reading-630
writing-720
Subject tests
literature-630
US History-700

Extracurricular-
-11 out of 12 varsity letters (XC, soccer, track)
-editor-in-chief of school newspaper
-committee chair-model UN
-volunteer in Prospect Park, Brooklyn
-won 2 scholarships (athletics and art), nominated premiere diplomat at model un, and winner of most valuable senior for winter track.

College-
Obviously, I don’t have a GPA yet as I’ve been at NYU for just over a month now. I am anticipating around a 3.5 after freshman year. I am also involved with NYU’s Program Board and volunteer with a Brooklyn based newspaper.

CMC is not the school to go to for studio art. I’m not sure about Pamona, Pitzer and Scripps (if you are a girl). Your standardized scores are low for CMC and way low for Pamona. It seems that you really need to research studio art programs in California if this is what you are looking for. My guess is that you want to leave NY and move west because no doubt if it were just a great studio art program you were looking for you would find it in NY.
