Questions:
Would I have a better chance of applying early with these stats, OR applying regular with my semester one senior year grades? (Because my senior year schedule is stacked with 3 AP’s and two honors courses) Also, if my SAT and ACT scores aren’t that good, I’ll take classes over the summer to improve them so that I can retake them in the fall. And which schools would I have the best shot at getting into?

I’m from WA and I can tell you a little about UW. You would definitely need to improve your SAT scores and try to boos your GPA by next year, but the fact that you are an out of state is a plus because they are taking a lot more over the next few years. And they don’t have an early admission (at least I don’t think they do) so you don’t need to worry about that!

Thank you! Do you know anything about UW’s German program and their Pre-Med/Engineering programs?

Yes a little bit… Their pre-med program is pretty good, especially seeing as they are one of the top Med schools in the nation. However, if you graduate from UW in pre-med, they make you attend Med school somewhere else, so you can’t go there for grad school. For engineering: I am going into engineering and I met with their department head, toured, etc… I personally was turned off by the program, because you aren’t officially accepted into the engineering program until your junior year, they just put you on a track to be able to apply for the program after two years. Basically, you would never really take any real engineering classes until your junior year… It’s a really good program though, and they have a lot of connections with big-name companies. You should do some research about it for yourself, it just wasn’t my favorite! :p
