Hi ya’ll. i just made an account to share my experience and to give some of you guys stressing out there some reassurance. my sister and i both applied to nyu ED1. she applied to SPS and i applied to steinhardt (MCC). after a very long wait thinking we both had no shot, we were both anticipating on going to different colleges. this week we both were accepted off the waitlist, she starts fall 2019 and i start spring (january) 2020, although we are both graduating May 2023. my sister got her email monday 4pm and i got mine today at 4pm. i guess SPS came out monday and steinhardt today. it seems that nyu has many spots to offer to their waitlisted students so for anyone out there on the waitlist it’s a real possibility you’ll get in. good luck to everyone still waiting!
@Tracy19 Congrats Tracy! Are u International student? Did u also apply to other NYU colleges or is Steinhardt MCC your first choice? Is it a spring offer:D
@sel18 Man don’t be stress out I also got the Thursday email but I am still waiting for good news. Literally have been waiting for whole week…?
One again, anybody who wants to be in the GroupMe chat for waitlisted NYU 2023 students, add me on snapchat @ ellaaimei and I can give you an invite link! College confidential won’t allow me to just post the link unfortunately.
@lolabbbb22 thanks for the info! Congrats! May I know what major did your sister apply to?
OMG, I was accepted to Tandon for Civil Engineering at 4:13pm! It is spring semester, but I am definitely attending! I just created this account to give out this information.
@bbeft13 Yes I am on groupme, just joined
Hi guys, anyone can share your fin aid/scholarship award after you are off the waitlist? Is it similar figure as the estimate with NPC or EFC?
So I never got a “continued interest” email or anything ugh. Does that mean I’m out? I applied CAS and am really losing hope bc of that & am super nervous someone please let me know if you know anything!
Please call CAS aand ask them if there are seats annd if possible, estimated number of intakes.
Got admitted earlier today into the Liberal Studies Program- it’s not CAS, which I was hoping for, but it’s still an admission. Reluctant to accept because it’s a spring admission
edit: I did not receive the continued interest email last week
I was admitted to liberal studies for spring as well. I received the continued interest email a week ago. Hoping for the best for everyone! Dreams do come true.
@swanywt Hi! I’m an international student. MCC is my first choice so I still wrote it down in the first waitlist form. I only applied this major in Steinhardt.
@sel18 I did get an continued interest waitlist form last Thursday.
I never received a continued interest email and I got into today
What are we expected to do during the gap semester?
No expectations… do what you want.
For those admitted Spring 2020, the duration between Fall 2019 ~ Spring 2020 sounds really like an open time, life enjoy time, relaxed time, working time, study time, or holiday time.
Guys do u think Stern is closed?
@Anxiouschild123 I don’t think so (or i desperately hope it’s not) bc i think some of the waitlist offers were turned down so hopefully they’ll do a second wave
