Hey, I applied ED1 to CAS for Linguistics, to only the NY campus, been following the waitlist for a while. If you don’t get the housing indicator does it automatically mean that you won’t be taken off the waitlist in that wave?

no some ppl don’t get housing indicator but most ppl do
were there cases of people not getting housing indicators and getting in?
yes it was earlier in the thread. someone got off but had no indicators except for checklist disappearing

It happens. This year and last year, some people’s housing changed after they got off the waitlist. Just like the checklist, sometimes, it does not disappear until one hour after the decision.
are we expecting a fat wave today? lol

It could show your interested but it is more likely to annoy them. The waitlist form allowed you to explain your interest and if you want to show additional interest maybe you could sign up for a virtual information session or go for a visit? I read someone earlier in the thread got in after visiting a second time. I also did a virtual info sesh this week prior to getting my indicator (idk how much it helped but I think it may have shown more interest)
